I'm just now starting to realize some of the (most likely unintentional) parallels between The Magnus Archives and Dracula, OMG
Both main major characters are named Jonathan, both end up in places that slowly expose them to the realities of the supernatural existing and that they are trapped under said entities, both have people in their lives they do not want to be tied to the supernatural but ultimately end up being tied up to the supernatural (Mina Murray and Georgie Baker), both lose friends to said supernatural beings (Lucy to Dracula and Melanie to the Hunt), the parallels are ENDLESS
Both being aware/warned of the supernatural but ignoring it/straight up denying it (Jon Sims when he was younger and saw his bully get swallowed up by The Web and Jonathan Harker when the serfs warn him and beg him to not go to Dracula's castle cuz he's Dangerous and will end up dead)
There's more I could say but I haven't listened to TMA in quite a while, I'm just going off of memory
Edit: CANONICALLY, THE STORY OF DRACULA COULD FIT INTO THE MAGNUS ARCHIVES UNIVERSE CONSIDERING THE MAGNUS INSTITUTE WAS FOUNDED IN 1818 AND THE STORY TAKES PLACE IN 1893
Au where Dracula is just an Avatar of like the Hunt or the Lonely or the Web
