Friends, I’m beyond excited to finally share my very first @deancasreversebang entry with you!
The lovely @phoenixmichie claimed my silly prompt back in January and made a funny, fluffy, sexy, and overall fantastic story out of it which was exactly what I needed. My silly little art prompt from the beginning is now our banner! And to really taste the challenge spirit, I finally got my procrastinator ass up this week to stress-speed-draw two additional artworks xD I can’t feel my hands right now, but I’m super thankful that these Bangs exist to challenge and inspire us creators and to give us opportunities to make new friends within the fandom :)
Speaking of: Silvi, I love our DCRBaby with all my heart! Thanks for sharing your talent with me and giving me wayyy more words to read than you would’ve had to deliver. I’m happy if I could return the favor a bit with some last minute art :D I can’t wait to meet you in May - and to simp over reallife Misha with you :x

Cas & Jack in 15.15

15x04 has so much meta fodder, it’s ridiculous. One of the things us fans have picked apart is that final pan to Sam and Dean’s funko dolls on the table.
Many have speculated that the shot suggests Cas will die before the end. Others say it’s a metaphor of the bros-only ending Chuck wants and will inevitably not have. Some say it’s the ending we will have for the same reason.
I have a different take.
The black feathers have everyone asking “In a house full of Cas funko dolls, where is Cas in the final scene?” but no one has given a particularly believable interpretation of the tree.
You guys remember when Anna ripped out her grace and put it in a tree? 👀
I propose to you:
The image of feathers and a tree does not symbolize Cas’ death, but rather, his choice to become fully human.
Discuss.
AH! Omg! I remember seeing the other day something about the tree and how Cas died in front of a tree and there was a tree painted by Kelly and all that.
But I love this theory! Plus, a choice to become human would be another free will choice as well. Everyone I’ve spoken with is hard on the Human-Cas train and it being his own choice, and since this season is all about real vs fake and choices, I’m 100% on board with this theory. I am on the opinion that all three live in the end -- but the ‘death’ of his Angel self is interesting.
He was an Angel when he died in front of the tree. Jack is half-angel, half-human and there was a tree in the room in that cabin.
I’m still very much half asleep in my head right now, but some symbolism alarms are ringing off in the distance. File this away to revisit!
Yep. This fits both the foreshadowing for Cas giving up his grace by choice and the fact that Cas is currently exactly this - the shadow in the background, the “not focus” that will ultimately be the catalyst to the ending of the story.
Having Cas represented here by the feather but not actually there, another “Empty Space” moment when clearly he is extremely important and the Empty Space is on purpose, plus linked in to the feather-grace is fab.
Tell us something in german ;) A whole sentence? (Can't wait to meet you in may!)
