A QUICK NOD.  Credence is ready to take any responsibility, any punishment, if only it means the other might stay a little longer. He does not realise the comment was a jest. Because while he doesn’t know what to say to Philip, he finds his presence comforting. He is more like Credence than anybody else here, more understanding of his circumstances than those who look at him askew and call him a creep.

I didn’t think Slytherin would lose, but then again I don’t know much about Quidditch… ’  A slight smile has his lips twitch at the memory of standing amidst the cheering crowd, his own face flushed with both the cold February wind and the excitement of watching the players shoot through the air and hearing Lee Jordan’s voice echoing loudly through the air. His fingers are still fidgeting with the card that was in his chocolate frog. He intends to keep it, considering it’s his first and a token of Philip’s kindness, too.

            ‘  nah,   not really my thing I guess.  ‘     he crosses his leg,  easing back into his seat on the bed at the realization he wasn’t leaving the dorm anytime soon.  he doesn’t really mind,  it’s the most conversation he’s had in awhile   --   even if it felt as though he was holding a broken vase together.    ‘  don’t worry,  they’ll bounce back.  your seeker is pretty viscous so I hear.  ‘     (  hufflepuffs, on the other hand,  were happy not to be skunked in their games.  )

               it was certainly an odd combination to anyone,   a softy slytherin and some uncaring hufflepuff.  still,  he can’t shake the feeling of ownership. his easiness was something the boy before him desperately needed.  & philip was dedicated,  at the least,  to not fucking that up.

               he leans over to the unwrapped chocolate,  eyes lifting to credence with an easy grin.     ‘  so ?   ---   who’d you get ?  ’

This is going to be a really messy ramble and it isnt consistent BUT It’s really sad to look back at Philip and Lukas first little fling because you can tell Philip assumed all he was going to get from Lukas was sex. Next to episode 10 where he asks Lukas twice if he was sure he was ready for this, compared to episode 1 where Philip was like “boy howdy here ya go.” How Philip reacts in the first episode really plays into this background where he never really had anyone look at him for anything more than sex. Honestly, episode 10 was so important because we see that their relationship has just grown so much and Philip sees that it’s more than that between the two and that he! is! important!
