For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."

Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.

Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.

Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.

The best part is the local city council's reaction.

And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.

I normally post cute little art things, but I decided on a different project today. The fear, sorrow, and dread that my community is facing feels insurmountable, but we are stronger than they think.

I don't get political here often because it's where I come to get away from it all. But at this point, I have to say something.

I live in Minnesota, just outside of Minneapolis. We've had a rough winter. Trump is targeting our Somali neighbors. Our city is flooded with ICE goons, and now they've murdered a woman in cold blood.

Minnesota has always been my home and I'm proud that we are a progressive beacon in the country. This will not break us. It will continue to hurt, and we will continue to do our best to protect our friends and neighbors. And we will cry, and we will fight.

We are not consistently ranked in the top five states to live in by accident. And we won't let our ideals go so easily.
