Well I think I had a pretty successful Christmas Eve service at my new parish last night! The church was packed and I think my organ playing was pretty spot on. I even used the chimes during Silent Night and afterwards one woman told me I'm making the organ do things they didn't know it could do so that's a good reaction I think. Also I successfully got together a small choir to sing In The Bleak Midwinter after communion; it was only five singers plus me on the piano, but for only having two rehearsals I think we sounded nice and I think the congregation was enthusiastic about it!

Today I'm going to the other community college's theater company to do the accompaniment for their musical auditions, so wish me luck because obviously I appreciate the gig but sight-reading Random Pop Songs™ is Not My Favorite

I played organ for a memorial service today and I think I played fine so everything's good, but boy did I get nervous when not one, but in fact two former organists of this parish attend the service

I recently got hired as a backup (substitute) musician for this local church. I’ve played for them on piano so far, but this Sunday will be the first time I’m playing the service music for them on their awesome organ!

Throwback to when I first started doing church organ music. I don't play at that church anymore because I got hired permanently at another church. And I've gotten SO much better at pedaling!

I'm accompanying for this choir that's down in my area for a choral retreat this weekend and it's at this really cool venue out in the valley. Working on Handel's Messiah! We had rehearsal this morning from 9-12 and I'm about to go back for another round from 7:30-9. I gotta try to remember to take a photo of the room we're in!

went to my church to practice my organ music today i was there for almost 2 hours but developed a headache and left, it probably doesn’t help that my eyes are probably straining and i do have an eye exam scheduled but it isn’t for almost two weeks still so in the meantime i’m sitting in this starbucks hoping the coffee will cleanse my soul along with africa by toto that happens to be playing in here lol

Long day of music

Woke up at 5am so I could go to this fancy hotel to do a couple of songs with the church choir for this breakfast thing. Then taught a piano lesson. Then three hours of accompanying the college choir and voice class. Then another two hours of additional choir rehearsal. Then three hours of concert band. Got home at 10:30 and now it is time for BED

This one low F in the pedalboard must match the natural resonance of the windows because it gets a pretty cool rattle going
