this building is an actual building - MIT's Stata Center. this is where a lot of the computer stuff on campus happens, and was also described by the architect as "a party of drunken robots [who] got together to celebrate".

... the architect was Frank Gehry, who also designed buildings like the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum. he was sued by MIT in 2007 for various structural issues within Stata.
