I just saw a gifset that split the word "beautiful" into 3 gifs and I think this one may be the new t hanos
my doctor when i tell them it hurts when i pee
i think star trek should write an in universe reason why some series donât have swearing and some do. make it a universal translator glitch or something.
the captain of each ship can turn the swears on or off when they want to
Kirk would have kept the swears on but any ship carrying Dr. Leonard McCoy is required by Starfleet regulations to turn them off
my god... she's come down with a case of "soup madness"

hey dude, sorry i donât really remember anything you just showed me. i actually used to be a baby so as you can imagine i have some object permanence issues
We donât need more diverse Disney movies, we need Disney to be shut down and broken up so that it stops dominating entertainment and choking out smaller creators and studios.
Also get rid of their insane manipulation of copyright
The best things Disney has made, the things people enjoyed and loved, that make them so nostalgic and protective of disney? Those thingsâŠwerenât made by Disney. Disney doesnât MAKE things, it hires people to make things. Those directors and writers and actors and musicians could still make those magnificent films. There is no reason on earth that they need Disney involved, except that Disney monopolizes the filmmaking industry.
If we got rid of Disney, not only would we STILL have EVERYTHING theyâd made, but it would be free for people to reuse, alter, and publish in new ways. The people who had created it, if they were still alive, would be free to publish anything else theyâve made that was related, which until now theyâve been required to keep under wraps lest it be out of step with corporate marketing.
Ending copyright protection in a world where corporations own everything perversely gives content creators MORE control over their content.
I see a lot of posts that boil down to, "hey, poor people, the middle class is your ally, not your enemy!" but I never seem to see posts that say "hey, middle class, the poor people in your city are your allies. You're never going to be rich, so stop selling out the poor in an attempt to maintain your own social standing."
Like, if I as a person living in poverty am skeptical and wary of the middle class neighborhood down the road, it's because they keep proving to me that they want to throw me and my neighbors under the fucking bus so they can pretend they'll be Bezos-rich one day.
I'm tired of seeing really condescending "the middle class is not your enemy!" posts when I never see "people living in poverty are justified in their rage, because living in poverty is a FUCKING NIGHTMARE" posts.
If me being tired of eating rice and ramen noodles for six months straight makes me vent-post about how tired I am of driving past cookie-cutter middle class houses on my way back to my 900 square foot apartment with six people living in it, I get dogpiled by people telling me that the middle class is not my enemy.
And that's fucked.
"We have to band together to fight our real enemy, the rich" is what you should be telling the middle class jackasses who keep looking at people in poverty and going "ew, icky," NOT the poor people looking at the middle class and saying, "yeah, they're parroting all the same shit that the rich are, and I don't fucking trust that they won't sell me out the second my back is turned."
you know what I see a lot of memes about garlic and a few other food memes here and there but I never see any about paprika.
here...for all the paprika enjoyers out there

âGandhian tactics do not, generally speaking, work in the US. One of the aims of non-violent civil disobedience is to reveal the inherent violence of the state, to demonstrate that it is prepared to brutalize even dissidents who could not possibly be the source of physical harm. Since the 1960s, however, the US media has simply refused to represent authorized police activity of any sort as violent. In the several years immediately proceeding Seattle, for instance, forest activists on the West Coast had developed lockdown techniques by which they immobilized their arms in concrete-reinforced PVC tubing, making them at once obviously harmless and very difficult to remove. It was a classic Gandhian strategy. The police response was to develop what can only be described as torture techniques: rubbing pepper spray in the eyes of incapacitated activists. When even that didnât cause a media furor (in fact, courts upheld the practice) many concluded Gandhian tactics simply didnât work in America. It is significant that a large number of the Black Bloc anarchists in Seattle, who rejected the lockdown strategy and opted for more mobile and aggressive tactics, were precisely forest activists who had been involved in tree-sits and lockdowns in the past.â

"stewing in rage" "stewing in agony" why don't you try stewing in some warm chicken lime broth with spices and vegetables
*points to the sign that says* This Is Great And All But It Isn't Poor People That Need To Be Reminded That Middle Class People Aren't Mega-Rich.
Time and time again these same middle class people will call the cops on anyone they deem too poor to live in their community. They will vote against community benefits if they think it will bring poor people closer to them. They will gentrify poor areas just like rich people and then when their money runs out first they'll abandon the communities they picked apart like fucking vultures and move elsewhere cuz they still have the money to do that. Poor people know that the middle class is not made of billionaires, but the middle class doesn't fucking know that and they regularly side with rich people in the Hope's that one day they WILL be a billionaire. Shut the fuck up.
God I want what they have
