PleinAirpril 01 + 02 /30 It’s that time of the year again, LETS GO! I won’t be following a pre-made set, just looked for images that grabbed my interest.

Will be focusing on pushing shapes, colours and specifically the digital tools I work with.

Trying a simpler shading style to make these weapon designs go faster. Still slowly making my way through my prop/weapon design prompt list - I'll end up finishing them one way or another even if it takes a long while.

Also brought back the old layout. Just feel it presents nicer on some platforms.

My most recent illustration. Its Marjon again. The springfire witch in her non-mermaid form. Got some more work on her that I'll hopefully be able to finish soon and post.

Sometimes getting to paint your own characters is just a breath of fresh air.

Since I draw and paint other things than just mermaids - Have some digital studies. These were done for the PleinAirApril challenge. Mostly did these after workhours, which meant the challenge bled a bit into May. But I did finish my original goal of 8 in the end and ended with the same theme I started with. (Field with flowers and clouds in the sky, stylized) I ended up quite liking these so I'll be doing more studies like this in the future and likely post them as I go.

Last one of the gouache mermaid workflows for now! I really liked working on this one - even if getting the colours for the hair and shield right was quite the challenge. If I remember correctly the shield and gold top have 4 or 5 layers on them just for the basecolour and initial shading. There is a bit of a height difference on the original because of it. The finished piece for this one has also been added to the INPRNT page!

Some Work-In-Progress shots from the first gouache mermaid I worked on last year. Haven't added this one to the INPRNT store yet but might do so in the next store update.

Learned a lot about acryla gouache during this piece and its been a while so I'd love to get some time to work with them again.

Fresh start

Hi there, some of you who see this might know me from my previous page or other platforms. I used to have a tumblr blog from years ago. It was a barely used mess so decided to give this platform a second chance with a clean slate.

Might post more sketches on here than other platforms, maybe some talking posts like this one, we'll see where it goes. :)
