Hi everyone!

First of all, apologies for being active for like 3 months and then disappearing into thin air. I finished my masters degree and got my first 40 hours/week 9 to 5 job and I misjudged the amount of free time I will have beside that as well as my energy levels after 8 hours of work plus commuting 3 hours a day.

To get back into the defaulting game, I have decided to take requests for SIMS 2 CLOTHING DEFAULTS. (No other games, no objections or hairs etc.)

Please tell me which outfit exactly you want to be replaced with what other outfit exactly and make sure there are enough recolours in the new swatch.

Anto Angele: Alpha Edit by @sanneke94 in the New Hair System | Download

How do I explain this one? I found the alpha edited version of Anto Angele by sanneke94 and wanted it for my game in NHS colours. I already had the NHS version by y2yims in my game but I had never touched TS2 hair in SimPe before. My research said I could've retextured the alpha edit or alpha edited the NHS retexture. Well, I chose to mix sanneke94's alpha edit with y2sims' rextexture. I ended up with what you can see above: CF-EF, four NHS colours, binned, familied and tooltipped. All colours are merged into one package file. Mesh by roxanna-moxie included.

Lillith is showing you the original version with the strand. Angela, Brandi, Lucy, Meadow and Coral are here to show you the alpha edit in NHS textures.

I might use it as a fhairbarette default at some point but I was proud of myself and wanted to share this, too.

aftopnaked replaced with a texture edit of Maxis' uftopblousedwaist by Ms. Ariadna & @artemida-sims | Download

I know it doesn't sound sensible to replace a Maxis mesh with another Maxis mesh, but the original aftopnaked was just painted on the Sims' naked body and that violet texture hurt my eyes. I wanted a tube top to replace this one, and the best one in my opinion was this texture replacement. I used two of @artemida-sims recolours and created four of my own, mostly using the Maxis' original colours as a starting point, but making them make more sense. You can find the swatch here.

Bella Goth's top is replaced by the one shown above, Dina and Brandi were just kind enough to come over and model for me. ;)

Tbf I’m not the first person to come up with the idea to keep defaults close to what they are supposed to replace. But I agree, I LOVE that idea, too.

If anyone ever comes across something that seems like a perfect match, please let me know. I’m always open for suggestions.

I wasn't satisfied with the aftoplongsleevebustier default I shared last Sunday because I realised while playing that it looked too office chic and not enough like something you'd wear when someone calls you and asks if you wanna go Downtown tonight. I felt like clothes from the Nightlife EP should be defaulted with something that looks more Hot Date-Nightlife-Lovestruck-ish. So here's another one, colours simliar to Maxis' orginal swatch.

Please remember to just have one default for every Maxis item at the same time.

You can find the swatch here. I tried to keep the style and colours of the default replacement close to the vanilla Maxis clothing and used navy, purple, brown and white/grey for my default.

Pictured are Melissa Bendett and Ivy Copur wearing the Apron Dress Edit I used for Maxis version without a apron and Jennifer Burb wearing the Apron Dress I used to replace the Maxis version with aprons.

I planned to post this on Tuesday but my shoeswap of the edited version failed, so a late post and no showswap by me for now.

I’d like to thank everyone for being so kind and welcoming to me. I’ve wanted to join the TS2 community as an active member for years but due to severe social anxiety I’ve always struggled with the thought of not being invisible anymore and people seeing me. I’m moved by all your kind responses and every like or even retweet makes me so happy. Plus, I was overjoyed when opened SFS and saw people actually downloaded my stuff!?

There's two versions, you can find the swatches here. I tried to match the colours to the Maxis clothing I replaced. As always, only use one version of a default replacement in your game!

Please let me know if something's not working, unfortunately no alternate links yet! I'm WCIF friendly btw, in case anyone ever wants to know what skin or eye defaults I'm using.

My next project is a mod edit, but in the meantime I'm open to default suggestions and/or requests.

Hello World! Today I would like to present to you my first ever default replacement for The Sims 2! My name is Nini, I go by pingunin in most places of the internet, and this is my newly created Simblr. If you like close-to-Maxis default replacements, you might want to stick around. I'm still learning how to take decent screenshots and preview pics, so bear with me while I figure this out in process! Anyway, today I'm sharing this one with you:
