Here’s what I notice while writing By Indirections, Find Directions Out:
Writing Gihun: careful character study, multiple rewrites, extensive thought.
Writing Inho: apparently just opening a direct channel into my subconscious.
Anyway, I’m going to go sit in the corner and examine what that says about me.

His voice was still Youngil’s. He still addressed Gihun with honorifics. Gihun’s hand shook at the realisation.
Gihun tightened his grip on the gun and pushed the barrel into the flesh of the Frontman. He spat, “I just shot that soldier in front of you. Are you sure you want to bet? I’ve had a good winning streak against you lot lately.”
At that, the Frontman’s smirk only widened. Gihun’s stomach dropped at the sight. His speech suddenly sounded fake even to himself. He swallowed hard through the sticky saliva in his throat. Even with a gun in his hand and a realisation that came early this time, Gihun wondered if there would ever be enough preparation for this moment against him.
