This Biology Teacher Disproved Transphobia With Science
ALSO:
Sex redefined
“The idea of two sexes is simplistic. Biologists now think there is a wider spectrum than that.”
More on anti-trans arguments as bad science
As a biologist I am reblogging this so hard.
Biological sex is not and has never been a binary. The complexity of the natural world cannot be contained in neat little societal boxes. Stop using science to justify your bigotry.
Then show me a third gamete. Show me the third role in sexual reproduction. Biological sex is a reproductive category, so if biological sex isn’t binary, why are there only two sex cells, and you only need two people to reproduce?
And show me it in humans, not in animals - you can’t point to a sparrow and say “this proves humans can fly”, so don’t point to animal’s reproductive system and say “that’s how it works in humans”
All you have to do to point out why transphobia isn’t based in facts is point to gender dysphoria—something that clearly occurs in humans.
Humans have two sexes, male and female. What other animals have doesn’t matter. Humans also have two arms. Spiders have more than that, that doesn’t mean human arms are a spectrum.
It’s okay to acknowledge that, and also acknowledge the biological sex of trans people in the process. That doesn’t change that gender dysphoria exists, and doesn’t change that transition is the best treatment for it.
Biological and scientific facts are bigotry, there you have it folks.
Be careful not to step too much to the side, you might fall off the flat earth, while denying Covid-19 is a thing, like many people calling themselves “scientists” believe.

People who have the same stupid views as the transmasc nb lesbian that replied to your post are the reason why characters like Jessica Yaniv have gone so long without punishment despite obviously riding the trans AND lesbian labels to prey on innocent women. Because they insist EVERYONE is valid, when in reality some things are MEANT to be gatekept. Y'all will complain when a fictional minor is sexualized but let creeps like this walk free and call them "valid uwu" for misusing the LGBT labels like y'all ALWAYS DO. The day LBGT became a trend like being goth or emo once was was the day we should've realized some things should have boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. LGBT folks are abused, killed and neglected every day simply for being who they are and y'all will literally put those people in a same group with nb who have only faced dumb stuff like "people don't respect my pronouns :(" (despite obviously not suffering any gender dysphoria) sorry but I've never heard of a single killer that only goes for nb or genderfluid people the same way some homophobes and transphobes will do. YOU DON'T SUFFER. YOU JUST WANT TO LEECH OFF SOMEONE ELSE'S SUFFERING TO SOUND MORE INTERESTING AND THAT'S FUCKED UP
The LBGT community came together from the very beginning to let other people who fit into it know they are not alone and that there's other people who know that pain and you lot took that and genuinely thought it was an exclusive cool new private friends group. Anyone who has forcefully inserted themselves into the LGBT and uses it as their whole personality unashamedly makes me sick and you should be ashamed of yourselves instead of proud of being yet another oppressor of the community but through tinted colored glasses. You're all a whole new breed of homophobes or transphobes who are too dumb to realize that's what you are. Only a transphobe would say you don't need dysphoria to be trans and invalidate years of trans struggle. Only a homophobe would say you don't need to be a woman to be a lesbian and erase years of lesbians struggling (not to mention the whole political lesbian bs they already had to deal with). You're not with us, you're against us but you have fooled yourselves to believe you're on our side while pushing us out of our own spaces for your own selfish desires to fit in somewhere you knew you would NEVER fit in
(so sorry for the long rant. I'm just so tired of this bs)
No need to apologize, you’re absolutely right!! 👏👏👏👏
“Feminine/femme bodies”
“Masculine/masc bodies”
“Feminine/femme presenting”
“Masculine/masc presenting”
SHUT UP
Just say female or male. Feminine is not a synonym of female. Masculine is not a synonym of male. There is no such thing as feminine/femme bodies or masculine/masc bodies. There’s female bodies and there’s male bodies. If somebody is a woman, they aren’t “feminine presenting”. If somebody is a man, they aren’t “masculine presenting”.
It’s really not that complicated. Stop pretending it is.
"Trans women are women"
Then why do you call them trans? Why do you give them a label other than simply "women"?
Unless...
There's something different...
I don’t think I even said that in the post lol. No, I’m not denying that trans women are different than biological women. I think anybody who denies that is stupid. But call them trans women, not trans feminine. Because “woman” and “feminine” shouldn’t be treated as interchangeable words, same with “man” and “masculine”.

Waiting to potentially get ripped apart on Reddit because I got a notification about this post (I’ve checked out the sub out of curiosity, now Reddit thinks I want to be updated 😂)
And I commented this
Because I’m very tired of people thinking that “period” means “my tummy hurts :(“. Fuck you I don’t wake up with bloody underwear despite using a tampon and diaper-tier pad, or stay in bed all day moaning groaning and bleeding, just for some idiots to think it’s some wonderful affirmation of womanhood despite not even experiencing it.
My periods are absolute hell so it really sucks to see people being all “yay I got a period!!” Without even being capable of having a period in the first place.
I tried to be as nice as possible because I genuinely just want to point out why this is pretty offensive. Other comments were more blunt.
You want a period? You can have mine.
It’s one of the most yucky and uncomfortable things a female can experience and period cramps can actually be as painful as a heart-attack.
On top of that, strong bleeding can cause anemia, you could happen to catch an infection because of tampons/menstrual cups and pads might irritate your skin.
Then there’s heavy migraines, aching breasts, constipation, diarrhea and that you might have to clean after yourself all the time, because you accidently “spilled” some blood.
I really don’t know what kind of masochist wants to experience this voluntarily. 😰
Also dating an enby would mean, you literally have the patience of a saint. Most of them are entitled brats, that have to shove down their "gender identity" and "pronouns" down everyone's throats, making this their whole personality. I would avoid such people, as romantic partners and even as just friends. Imagine having to walk on eggshells all the time and dumb arguments, whenver you "accidently" misgender them, because you KNOW they're male/female and just didn't concentrate enough to be able to talk to them "correctly".
SO TRUE 😭
I will stay far away from enbies, thank you very much. Their whole personality is being an enby, and they are just insufferable most of the time.
You really would have to walk on eggshells… it would be really hard to constantly be thinking about using they/them pronouns when you’re talking about somebody who you know is male/female, and they look like it. Tbh every time I hear they/them pronouns it sounds a bit forced… maybe that’s just because it sounds out of place. It just never sounds casual or correct IMO.
Anyways you’re right lol.
I’m so tired of the way trans people get mistreated because tucutes are taking over.
Most of us don’t stand for children transitioning
Most of us acknowledge the existence of biological sex
Most of us know that homosexual means “attracted to the same sex” and don’t try to push gay people into including trans people in their dating pool
Actual dysphoria, which is needed to be trans, is not about gender roles
Most of us don’t stand for neopronouns and shit like that
Most of us just want to transition in peace and don’t cause harm.
I’m so tired man.
After looking through the notes: it really baffles me how easily westerners throw around the word “fascist” at anyone they don’t like or agree with.
Also all this “not a (mental) illness”… I can understand the logic behind this, I think - medical conditions are very often stigmatized and seen like something that makes one a lesser person. But I think, the better way is destigmatising medical conditions, not demedicalising (is that even an existing word?) them. Well, I think so probably because I don’t see something being medical a problem, IMO health issues are just that, health issues, and don’t make anyone a lesser being, and also, where I currently live having something as medical condition actually helps to deal with it.
Destigmatize medical conditions, not demedicalize them.
If you see the words “medical condition” or “mental illness” or anything similar, and immediately think that’s a bad thing, you’re not the one who is in the right. There’s nothing wrong with having a medical condition, mental illness, etc. So there’s nothing wrong with classifying being trans this way.
#spuhura my beloved
Sorry for ranting in your inbox but I'm in a (mandatory) gender studies class and it's hell, my teacher is trying to teach that there are more than 2 sexes and so therefore the term "opposite/same sex" doesn't exist because of that and that gender reveals aren't true because trans (and nonbinary/genderfluid🙄) people exist. And that gender is about "self expression" instead of something you're born as/transition to.
It's still the first week so we haven't gone into sexuality but I can't wait to hear about how the teacher defines bisexuality versus pansexuality. I'm definitely not gonna be able to survive this class
(Also just heard the teacher put the idea that women need men to racism instead of misogyny)
It’s no problem!! 💖
Mandatory gender studies class?? WHY?! That’s so dumb 😭
The idea that terms like opposite sex and same sex don’t exist is honestly offensive. The term “same sex” is essential to defining homosexuality, and identifying why people hate homosexuals and bisexuals (experiencing same sex attraction). I’d encourage you to ask your teacher what they think homosexuality and heterosexuality are. There’s really no way to describe those without the terms same sex and opposite sex. It’s in the fucking name!!
How the hell does one attribute “women need men” to racism and not misogyny?? Your teacher is insane. Run.
I would honestly love to be in that class just to see how fast I could get kicked out. It just seems like such a fun class to stir the pot in 😂
... are there also mandatory classes that teach how the world is flat, or how there’s no such thing as evolution, because the world has been created by god in six days?
