I just want you all to know, that if and when this site does experience a real exodus and/or get sunsetted for good, even if we don't keep in touch I'll remember you so fondly. You're the online equivalent of the other kid on the beach where we built sandcastles together; the girl at the campsite where we explored the trees. You're the drunk person who shared kind words in the bathroom at the club, you're the talented artists at the life drawing class or the poetry night in a city where I don't live anymore. It makes me sad that maybe in the future our paths won't cross so easily, but even when we leave this little shared piece of cyberspace, carried away on our briefly intersecting trajectories, just know I still love you
H-hewwo I heard we can requests from both lists so 👉👈 Can I ask for 14 from the fluff, female reader being the one lifted? If it could be for chubby reader and kinda comforting, it'd be nice, but please write it however you like! For characters, same story: Law, Luffy or Zoro. Thank you so much! 💕
a/n: started Box A with Law, ended Box A with Law, how fitting ☺️ this ended up not as comforting as I’m sure you were anticipating hnn, but I hope you still enjoy it!! Law thinks reader is undermining his strength and doesn’t realize she is just insecure about her weight which results in petty Law 😂
prompt: BOX A - ⒁ Lifting the other one up
pairing: Law x Chubby F!Reader
warnings: low key petty & insecure Law | weight insecurities | Law’s poor attempt at being comforting lol
word count: ~490
“You seriously believe that I can’t lift you up?”
Your brows raise at his tone, “I’m not trying to offend you, Law, I just-“
“Well, consider me offended.” Before you can respond, he’s quick to turn away from you and hurry off elsewhere.
Now, you’re struggling to reach for your favorite bowl. Usually placed on an easily accessible shelf, you can see it slightly protruding from the shelf at the very top. The shelf where next to nothing resides because no one else can reach it without assistance from taller members of the crew. You scoff, first wondering why a shelf like that even exists, then wondering how Law, your oh so loving boyfriend, had even gotten the bowl up there. Surely he hadn’t coerced Bepo into these petty antics.
“Need help?” You can almost hear the smug smile on his face before you even turn around to see it.
“No thanks, I got it.” You sneer, making a show of grabbing the spare kitchen chair, dragging it across the floor so it squeaks the entire way. Law doesn’t budge, simply shrugs as he sips his coffee. You almost want to throw the chair at him.
Instead, you stand on the seat of the chair, reaching up for the bowl. Your fingers graze it, but struggle to grab it. You stand on your tippy toes, nearly able to grasp at the lip until you feel the chair disappear from under you. You hardly have time to register that you’re falling before you feel strong, familiar hands lifting you up by the soft flesh of your waist until you are eye-level with the bowl and dusty shelf.
You look down, your hands grasping at his shoulders as you prepare for his arms to collapse, inevitably dropping you because you believe to be far from lightweight. And he does, but only slightly so his arms can loop underneath your plump bottom, encouraging your legs to wrap around him while he holds you up effortlessly. He smirks up at you, “Would’ve saved us both the trouble if you’d just let me lift you up.”
“Am I not too heavy?” You mutter in response, wanting to cling to him tighter but too scared to crush him with your weight. One of your legs begins to seek the ground beneath you until he secures you in his hold.
Law’s features visibly soften for a brief moment before his brows knit together. “Of course not. Don’t say stupid things like that.” He squeezes you into him tighter, and you don’t miss the subtle flex of his arms nor the faint blush that blooms along his cheeks, “I’ll hold you just like this for the rest of the day if it will make you feel better.”
The bowl is all but forgotten as Law holds you up, refusing to let you go as he proves both his strength and endless love for you, no matter your size.
This is so cute and I love it! But seriously I have a fear of falling and even if it was for a split second I would he so mad at law for doing that. 💖💖💖 Love ya Coop
