Welcome to my blog! As the little description suggested, I don't really know what I'm doing, but having fun anyway.

I've actually been on tumblr for a few weeks now (at time of writing) and decided I wanted to clean things up a little bit by making a new about me post and focusing down this blogs intentions a lot more.

Please call me Rose, it's a pleasure to meet you! This blog is mainly focused on all things girly and kind of like a public diary, with more on manifesting & more witchy elements as that's a part of my irl life too. So there's a lot of academia and dark feminine vibes sandwiched between the bright pinks and purples.

Idk what a content schedule is and never have wanted to learn, so please don't expect consistency of any kind (including in the actual content) from me.

The way I am so fucking done with men playing around. If I'm told one more time 'I'm not ready for a relationship' when he came on to me? I'm going to start swinging.

This is a vent, this is a rant, but it's also a promise to myself. The first manifestation I've felt the need to type out since before Christmas.

I've done it, I've gotten there. I am now so far in I'm being called a siren, a temptress, an evil woman. I will bring every man I meet to his fucking knees because I am so done with the whole culture around dating at the moment. I will go out, I will look hot as fuck, I'll tease you so badly you spend the whole night on me and beg me to fuck you by the end of it. Will I? Of course not. But I do intend to grow into the type of woman who makes men nervous when I walk in the door and how lovely it is to see progress of that in my personality.

I will treat myself like a queen and I will expect the same treatment from those around me. I work on my timeline. Fuck waiting on texts, waiting on flaky men. Day 8/40 update

There isn't even a goals accomplished section because I did nothing and I mean nothing I wanted to today.

The thing is I spent today rotting, like, growing mold rotting. I've been feeling like shit and struggling to figure out why and I did finally get my answer, which, short answer: men.

Long answer? Buckle tf up, begins below the cut, reminder that I post on this space because I like a virtual journal and you are by no means required to read everything I post especially if it may trigger you. Tldr: my mental health is in the trash because of my dating life (or lack of) and I'm getting fed up with it so will make some changes soon.

Long answer is that I've spent my life being invisible to romantic attention, which tends to make one feel like shit. And don't come @ me with 'work on urself' or 'heal your insecurities' or 'build a life first'. Mainly because I have, I have, and I have, but the lack of romance is an insecurity in and of itself. When everyone else seems to have no problem, it makes me feel like chopped liver.

And I did have a couple guys talking to me but one played with me for four weeks (I should've cut it off sooner, never again) and I'm genuinely questioning if I'm good enough for a romantic relationship or if guys just want something casual (read: fuck and fuck off) with me. Which is very damaging to my mental health!! Like no shit I'm rotting when that's what I'm sat here questioning.

Which admittedly leaves me with two paths: I decide to role reverse and hit on men myself to see if I can find someone; I keep waiting for a guy to come up to me and simply put myself in good situations for it. And I don't know which one I want (any advice is appreciated).

Oh, and I'm also mad at myself because within the last week I've met two super cure guys through friends and never got any contact info from them because I was too scared and now idk how to go about that because I'm just living with the regret. Which is why I'm leaning towards pulling a role reversal because I'm really sick of feeling like I'm hitting it off with someone and then nothing, I'd rather at least be able to say I've tried.

All this to say I feel like shit, and not only that, but I'm very conscious I'm neglecting my academics because I feel like shit and I keep taking it out on myself instead of taking action about it. Which is only making it worse and at this point I'm starting to get angry. Like I'm an A+ student, I'm a witch, I'm a writer, I'm a hot bitch, I could be doing so much better and yet I am here Yearning because I learnt to tie my self worth to being considered attractive from far too young. I feel like crashing out.

And yk what a crash out is what is about to happen. I aim to Crash Out by taking as many fucking opportunities as I can. Its too late at night now, my goal is to drink some actual water, sleep, and wake up and Do Something because I'm sick of inactivity and feeling stuck.

I had a meeting with my tutor today which was probably the most important part of the day (and was incredibly useful, I got a lot of things out of that). My only concern is that idk how to now continue this relationship (he needs to know a bit abt me to help write a reference for me if I want to go on to more education postgrad) now we've met once, but that is firmly an issue for future me. I'd also like to say I've been very tired today but i wasted too much time doomscrolling to allow myself to complain abt tiredness when I could've napped instead 🥲 social media is addictive. Regardless, I tried my best <3
