why is star wars twitter always hating on owen lars & saying he’s abusive??????? 😭 like.....having luke help with chores around the farm isn’t abusive unless he straight up just has no regard for his safety. then there are those who complain about owen having lied about anakin.....as if obi-wan himself doesn’t do the same 😭 anyway plenty of people have explained this far better than I ever could, but if you really think that owen was just hateful to luke rather than that he was afraid that luke would run off and get himself killed in a senseless war—the same way (owen thinks) his father did—then maybe you just don’t understand the character 😐
