BLARGHHH this chapter ended up being too long so I had to separate it into two chapters. Here's part 1 & 2 of Snake-hole, Digout, in which the gang meet a mysterious creature in the sewers and DO NOT LIKE IT!!!!!!
Then they meet a serpentine who claims to know Master Wu??!?!?! Who does she think she is!!! Is she their ally, or a manipulator of some kind? They also meet a hot doctor, who is much more important to their futures than they could possibly imagine.
Ultimately, war is calling; and the Ninja aren't even a little ready.
Maya Jiang: the calm, technically brilliant, moral compass of the Elemental Alliance during the Serpentine Wars and the Battles for Time. Something else she has been known for amongst elemental masters is her famous love with the Master of Fire, Ray Pradhan.
A former Elemental Master of Water, her control over entire lakes was discovered at a very young age by her first master, the great warrior Xiaodan Chen. Master Chen trained her alongside a few other young elemental masters and children with great promise. Though her favorite was clear; she held a fierce adoration for the elemental Master of Amber, Nestra.
Combining one's elemental abilities with technology was not an appreciated method during her time, but nevertheless she was a force to be reckoned with as she experimented with hydrokinetic weaponry for the sake of all Ninjago's mortals.
Garmadon long praised Master Chen for his contributions to the Serpentine and Time wars, but despite her once unstoppable devotion to Chen, Maya was his least expected and first defector. What happened, history will perhaps never know, as Maya Jiang and her husband disappeared years ago, callously leaving behind two small children.

Chapter 12, Following the Leader is up!! Wu yells at the ninja for Using Their Powers, the gang picks on Zane but follow the Falcon with him anyways, Nya talks about her dreams... and they all go to Big and Scary Ninjago City!!!
Chapter 11: Not Handy Enough is up!! Loved this chapter. The guys test out their powers, stumble into Wu's office, and encounter some weird scrolls and paintings that may or may not be harbingers of the end of the world.... Also PinkZaneMinifig figures out how to format her work in ArchiveOfOur Own. Quite an episode.

Chapter 10 is up! The Ninja head to Jamanukai village for their first real mission. I sure hope they're ready for the enemy they'll face there.
15 year old Nya Jiang is independent, expressive, curious. Her dream is to increase the economic mobility of rural Ninjago’s most neglected towns, villages, and groups, by making Borg technology accessible to them. How might she do this? By becoming the head MAS (Mech and Automotive Systems) architect at Borg Enterprise.
Nya always has a plan. She is very self-reflective, but also allows her pride to take the reins. Other characteristics include a driving obsession with proving herself, caution, and a slowness to trust. She hates feeling left out, but hates showing vulnerability even more.
She loves Kai deeply, but struggles to connect with the very source of her shame. It is difficult to not feel guilty watching her brother abandon a social life and good education to provide her with them.
One of her solo activities is going to the arcade, where she can have fun without feeling the pressure of interacting with others. She’s competitive and enjoys the challenge of video games, which also give her a chance to unwind and let go of her usual need for control over her environment. She also boxes after school.
Long ago her father told her bedtime stories about ninja, masters, and samurai. Though being the head MAS architect at Borg is her dream now, once upon a time it was to fight, to be a great warrior. Maybe those dreams will present themselves to her once again...

Lynette was the master of lightning prior to Jay, and Jay's biological mother. Initially taught how to fight and control her abilities under the tutelage of Master Chen, during the serpentine wars and the battle against the time twins her allegiance shifted to Wu.
When the fighting had ended and the masters all went their separate ways to settle down, Lynette pursued acting, where she scored a minor role in a major movie starring Cliff Gordon, acclaimed actor from the Starfarer franchise.
Brilliant, charismatic, honorable and trustworthy with an unmatched passion for Ninjago and the wellbeing of its citizens, she was an integral member of her team. Her elemental dragon and her had an extremely special connection before he was chosen to succeed the previous guardian of the nunchucks of lightning.
Her shining presence has been dearly missed since she was last seen fifteen years ago, rumors ever present amongst elemental masters regarding her sudden disappearance. Some say Cliff Gordon is still looking.
