Can I say how much I love this guy?
Can I also, in the same breath, say how much the fact that his name is spelled "Carme" and not "Carmie" bothers me?
Also, sorry I've been gone, Chat
been very busy failing school, having major fallouts, and I've installed Tomodachi Life, which might've been the worst thing to happen to my productivity yet.
“you cannot ship these two fictional characters because—” actually I can because they are not real people. they are just toys I play with. you cannot apply real-world morality to fiction or how strangers play with their imaginary toys in their imaginary sandboxes.
you can, however, curate your own internet experience by minding your own business, muting/blocking/scrolling past what upsets you but does not hurt anyone in real life in any way, shape or form.
“ship whatever you want except xyz. there is a limit” so you miss the entire point of what I just said 👌🏻
there is, in fact, no limit. I may be uncomfortable with it, I may even find it unpleasant/disturbing, but my personal feelings are not rules that can be applied to other people, and they absolutely do not justify shaming or harassing other people.
What are your tsams rants, hot takes and unpopular opinions?? Im kinda getting tired of the show so im asking around 👍
This is old af atp
But this is from around the time I stopped watching, so sorry abt that
I just started watching again to try and catch up, so this is before they defeat Titan, ik they do by the thumbnails; I just donno how it goes yet.
But that did give me a lot of time to think it thru and I hate to be a hater, and i swear i say all of it out of love for the series, but honestly?
[very long rant ahead; I'm so sorry...]
I dislike the pizzeria plotline.
I won't say it's bad; it was just boring and lowk unamusing to me.
I dislike Rosie a lot; she's so not a me type of character. No hate to the VA whatsoever.
This is a very, very personal grape, and I have a lot of respect for the modelers and mapmakers.
I just don't like the map of the pizzeria either; I just honestly think it's too big, esp compared to the char models, I think it could be sized down and work perfectly well.
And it has borderline no shading in it
I am a huge sucker for pretty shading and lighting esp on VRC maps, and ik a few that r so goddamn gorgeous, so I just dislike barebones maps like that
It's not a huge issue; I mostly treat those eps like podcasts anyway and listen more so than watch em but it's just a small thing that's been irking me
But 2 of my biggest issues with it?
Cosmo and the structure of the eps nowadays.
Lunar was always my fav character, always has been.
And I do not mind the whole thing with the change into "Cosmo" and all that came with it.
But he changed so much. I don't mind character growth; I like it. I loved it for him for a while. cuz it still felt like the same char. An abused kid that grew up and tried to get better with shit still happening and deep, deep issues.
But he doesn't even feel like the same person anymore. I get he's tired and fed up, esp with the whole Titan thing going on
But he's just snarky, bitter, doesn't care, not in the laid-back, chill guy kind of way, in the annoying IDGAFer, asshole kind of way.
Imo it was better done during the damn Nexus arc.
He didn't care, but it was clear it was cuz he was coping, I have the same damn response to deal with shit; it was toxic, and his shit was called out.
I want to love my boy, and I want to see him suffer and be unwell and deal with it CUZ he's my fav.
That's why I loved the idea and potential of the arc where he reached out for Dark Star power, when Eclipse came back for the first time after a while, and everyone was worried about Lunar's reaction,
I wanted him to freak out and lose his shit.
That's why I was really excited about the Titan arc, cuz one thing I loved more than Lunar was Evil Lunar.
And I hate to say I am kinda disappointed?
And that leads me to my other main issue.
The eps just don't feel like there's anything really happening.
A lot of the time it's them standing around, talking shit, repeating a lot of it, or it's inconsequential.
And I'm not necessarily complaning abt misc vids, while I prefer lore, ik some ppl don't, and they need those "useless filler" eps, even if it isn't to overwork themselves, ESP since they don't do gaming anymore.
This one prolly is fully a me thing, but, personally, instead of random bs happening, I would love to see the chars just hanging out tgt, bonding and exploring the dynamics between each other
random bs is funny sometimes tho so
But even when real shit is happening, I just can't help but feel like it isn't?
Things don't feel like they're high stakes at all.
idk if it's just my attitude of not caring in any media cuz it "has to turn out ok in the end." But nothing feels impactful even when big shit is going down.
Titan blows up the house?
Ok, cool, awesome, let's just get a new one immediately. Actually, this is convenient af. Oh? The one kid that was inside while it happened? Eh, maybe we'll mention it once or twice on a good day.
If they just sat on it for an ep or two. It would feel like it mattered. They already need more filler; this is a very good way to do so, show em how losing the house so suddenly IS of importance. Things were lost, ppl might be hurt, and the issue is real. Sit for at least an ep to show how TJ might be traumatized by being in an explosion. He can't get physically hurt, but the mental trauma is real and something they briefly touched upon.
My big issue for it is also how the chars react to shit; it's like half of the problem.
cuz not like less is happening than before in the show; arguably more, cuz there are more chars, more body actors, and they actually move with VR.
the chars just don't care, which I both get from the perspective of everything they've already been thru and more shit just keeps popping up, but it's not good for making an entertaining story...
Sun and Moon could care less for Eclipse when he did nothing with the star but be an inconvenience for so long and kinda proofed he ain't gon do nothin cuz he already played his role and fell into the trope of "if you achieve all your goals, what else do you have left to do?"
They called him out, Clip lost himself, and a bigger threat came around.
If a new villain like Titan rolls in and nobody from the cast fears him, cares for him, or treats him with any respect whatsoever, why should I?
Why tf should I, the viewer, care to be on edge when he's on the screen if the very ppl he threatens don't give a fuck?
Ig i just kinda miss how big the old show felt like, despite being limited to just the pizzeria and, like, 2 chars at a time...
I really enjoy the new LAES, tho; it's bloomin and I am really invested. TSAES is also pretty cool, but it's way more of a bg show for me.
ik this is a long-ass rant and all, but this is coming from a longtime fan, and I want to like it; it's been sucha big part of me for so long.
But ik it has issues, had for a while, and sadly it has more and more of em, and ik more ppl r quiting it :(
I am excited for Tyrant tho; they're hyping him up real bad, and he seems connected to the sanctuary plot, which I do kinda enjoy
I have hopes for him
But if it'll be disappointing again, I'll just be really, really, really sad.
I am currently so behind on all the shows; I really fell out of it recently, so that's why I was kinda really dreading doing this one, but then I realized I never properly shared my mer!Earth design, so here's the lady
I still have some old sams projects I wanna finish, so I'm not finished with it just yet, but there will be most definitely less of it until I get back into it.
Hi i saw your art and wanted to ask if u can explain what ur AU is like im a bit slow
yeah! honestly im still working on it's concepts myself but i can share what i have certain so far.
LOCKED: A Ribbit-Centric Au where Ribbit comes back to the circus and secretly is trying to help Bubble take down Caine.
The big picture here is that she's more or less Bubbles helper/spy in piecing together puzzle pieces Bubble would not be able to do on his own- Due to his link to Caine.
Bubble saved them from the void that was the Cellar. Ribbit was rotting away, but unlike all the others left to rot, her mind was the most stable to Bubble.
so he take her out.
Ribbit is NOT immune to re-abstracting. Her abstracted form still lurks within them, its just easier to control.
Think of it as a chronic illness that if left untreated- will kill ribbit worse off then when she abstracted the first time.
However, being in this half state, and not being revived by Caine's AI programming for the characters- Ribbit actually has some bypasses.
yes. they can curse uncensored :)
Caine can't fully control Ribbit anymore, meaning she's become a liability to him. a rogue human messing with his circus is not good :(
He's not sure how to "fix" Ribbit's sudden showtime.
Which leads to a lot of pain and trauma for Ribbit whenever he catches them being sneaky.
Bubble is like a father figure through out it. he really doesnt want to hurt the humans, he understands this is not Ribbits ideal life.
But there just isnt another option here. unless...someone deletes caine the proper way.
IM SORRY THIS IS SO LONG AND RECAPPY- i didnt have it in me to do completely new scenes for this-
but for those that are a little lost, i hope this lines up whats trying to be said about ribbits part in this.
I really like 'em :]
I dropped my damn phone when she came on screen. I am not even being funny rn.
ik the theater situation is not really great; I am not happy abt it either, but the best thing we can do, honestly, is call, email, text our own cinemas to book it too
We did it with Iron Lung, we can do it again.
Please contact your theaters if you can.
Just ask them about it; there is no harm in it. The more people talk about it, the more places it gets to, the higher the chance other ones pick it up too
