“No, I’m not. I do believe my name is right up there with yours.”
“Well maybe, but it’s in a way smaller font. Mine’s huge and right at the top for everyone to see.”

“Never say never. People screw up orders all the time, so you might get another free coffee sometime soon.”
“I mean, I wouldn’t complain, but I doubt that the coffee shop would make the exact same mistake twice.”

“The only downside is that it can start to spoil you after awhile. It makes you want to have more mistakes like that. And then there’s so much disappointment when you don’t get that free cookie.”
“Good point. But, I guess it’s a good way to teach someone how to live with disappointment.”

“Try Goldilocks next time. Otherwise, it just comes off lazy repeating what I’ve already said. Alright, if you’re so insistent on this story, then I guess I’ll believe you. Maybe. At least, this time. Next time it happens, then it’s definitely not a coincidence.”
“Well if it ever does happen again, I’ll definitely be giving the coffee to someone else. Though I doubt it’ll ever happen again.”

“I probably will. I love coffee so much.”
“Oh me too, but I definitely don’t need more than one. I think it’s safe to say that I have a love/hate relationship with caffeine.”

“Well that’s the best kind of mistake there is. Anytime it doesn’t mess up your order, but you get something out of it… yeah, that’s the best. I got a free cookie that way once, and it was the highlight of my entire week.”
“Oh, definitely. I wouldn’t complain if that happened every once in a while.”

“Yes but wasn’t I when we first me?” He mused, sipping on the cup. “You’re really not that awkward.”
“Are you just saying that? Because I’m fairly certain that if you looked up awkward in the dictionary, I’d be right there.”

“If you say so, blondie. Although, I have to admit: the ‘accidentally have an extra coffee’ cliche is about as overdone as the ‘accidentally ran into you while looking at my phone’ cliche. It’s a good thing you’re cute enough to pull it off.”
“Who are you calling blondie... Blondie? Okay, I suck at comebacks, but if I were trying to flirt with you, I would’ve come up with something much more original. I’m serious, the guy must’ve rung it up wrong or something.”

“You’re always so awkward Pipes. If you wanted to seduce me, you could’ve just said so.” He teased before taking the other coffee.
“Okay, I’d have better luck seducing that cup of coffee than I would you. You said it yourself, I’m always awkward.”

“Don’t worry about it, you’ve come to the right place. I am the king of both awkwardness and coffee. I’d love it.”
“Okay, great. You’ll probably enjoy it much more than I will.”

“Are you um, are you sure that you don’t want it? Because I will definitely take it off your hands, but only if you aren’t going to drink it. …How did that happen anyways?”
“Yeah, go right ahead, I definitely don’t need more than one coffee. I guess he rung it up wrong or something? I honestly have no clue.”

“If you had just wanted to come and talk to me, you didn’t need to buy me a coffee to do it. But hey, I’m not one to turn away a pretty girl or a free coffee.”
“No, that’s not it at all! I mean, not that I wouldn’t want to talk to you, I just thought someone else could use this more than I could.”
“Hey! Um, so the barista accidentally gave me two coffees, and since I’m way too awkward to return the one, I was wondering if you’d like it? ...And now I’m realizing that this is even more awkward. Sorry.”
