Detlaff was in prison for 10 years and he has a lot of tattoos. after he was kidnapped by illithids he uses illusion to cover them up. no one (Gale included) knows about tattoos until Act 3, when team visits prison to save Detlaff's friend - Hassan, who created those tattoos

done! I imagine that fem!Gale was plump, but after getting the Orb, she was very ill, felt sick and nauseous and she hardly ate or slept, so she lost a lot of weight, her hair grew overgrown and partially turned gray.
