I’m a little ways into Khrysallis (sort of it’s hard to tell bc I have heard it’s long as heck LMHO) and god I love Dyvim Whitehart absolute one of my top favorites in this game

I say this as someone who loves worldbuilding, but too many people seem to believe that what makes a story good is some imaginary Worldbuilding Score that increases with the level of detail you’ve put into the linguistics and economic systems instead of, like, telling a good story.

Also, leaving some things mysterious and unexplored can actually make your world feel bigger and more interesting. If you can tell us everything about your fictional planet in a few pages of exposition, your planet is pretty boring no matter how much research and detail went into those pages. Allowing readers to speculate and use their imaginations is good, actually.

I’ve already shared my fondness for my less-than-stellar pet dragon in Wizzy, but if the new expansion pack includes a sky blue dragon with gold trim, you won’t hear the end of it from me
