I was just sitting, minding my own business around 2 days ago when Porty from @pittdpeaches fic came to mind. So, I drew him and planned to post that today.

A drawing i made for @pittdpeaches 's fic, Couch Crasher !

God, I ADORE this fic, and forgive the long ass post but I have quite a few things to say about it. First of all, very bittersweet that this is the second to last chapter, but I think that this fic truly was a wonder to read and the ending next chapter would feel complete. But the CHARACTERS?????

Hey so Porty, right. Porty is such an important character to me in this fic, especially as a trans person myself. I won't spoil anything but he's so amazingly written. Red Son as well! This fic really does remind me of some of my favourite pieces of literature and I find myself thinking about it REGULARLY. So I decided to share some art i did ^^.

And since its not exactly too obvious, the bugs on Porty's side are tear drinking moths (Hemiceratoides hieroglyphica and Mecisoptera litochroa). On Red's side are the monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus) and the swallowtail butterfly (Papilio machaon). The flowers under Porty are obviously a rose and a sunflower, whilst under Red is a milkweed and a peony (the peony is for a reference to a different fic which you should check out by the same author)

So to keep this short and not get into my horridly complex thoughts about the characters analysis wise, HERE THEY ARE MY LITTLE FUCKERSSSSS

Sooo this is a sketch inspired by @pittdpeaches' wonderful fic A Garden Across Our Collarbone. Like. OF COURSE I READ THIS FIC ARGH I read it so long ago, but I wanted to do more of an elaborate sketch, so I decided to pick the fic as inspo. How it's possible to keep my ADHD ass invested for 200k words is a mystery. Best soulmate AU I've ever read AH!!

I decided to give my sketch a little pep with some color on my iPad. I need to be careful, I'm rediscovering the airbrush all over again. And well, I gotta show that Red is a living glowstick (I'm sure he cracks his joints often enough for that to work). I think it's very nice that this is one of the last sketches in my leather bound sketchbook. Yay!

uk friends, please go out and vote today. yes it's local elections but pretty much all day to day running of your town is run by councils, so budgets for local facilities and traffic safety or outreach to minorities all happens here. It also really impacts how people think of chances for general elections

my local Green Party has, since last November: reached out to try and hear about how and where GP practices and new schools are most needed, actively got involved with anti-racist campaigning and protests, actively involved themselves in pro-lgbtq+ and pro trans activism, actively secured budget for improving parks and playgrounds... You genuinely can make your immediate environment better by picking good councillors, and having a good result gives people hope for general elections too
