i’m tired
tired of people feeling bad for me
tired of being a second choice
tired of putting a smile on my face
tired of my friends pretending to care
tired of letting people down
tired of failing
tired of trying
tired of living.

God in Three Persons and a Brief History of the Residents
January 24–28, 2020 MoMA presents the world-premiere live performance of the Residents’ landmark 1988 album God in Three Persons, along with a two-part compilation of videos created by the legendary art collective. From Third Reich ’n Roll (1976) to Dyin’ Dog (2019), these programs chart the evolution of “the most mysterious band in the world,” including their notable collaborations with video artists John Sanborn and Bill Domonkos.
