Happy Moha Songkran and Khmer new year (chaul chnam Khmer) 2026 (horse year) x MLP !

For the Khmer New Year 2026, which marks the Year of the Horse, the New Year Angel (Tevada/goddess) is Reaksa Tevy (or Preah Neang Reakcheasa Tevi). but I use Princess Luna and Princess Celestia cuz they are like the ying and yang literally or Sun and Moon and Ruler and protector in a way of Equestria.

The horse goddess is the third daughter of Kabil Moha Prum and represents Tuesday. She descends to protect the world on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 10:48 AM.

Moha Songkran (មហាសង្រ្កាន្ត) is the first day of the Cambodian New Year (chol chnam Thmey), marking the end of the old year and welcomes a new divine angel of an animal based on the lunar calendar. (The Khmer New Year zodiac follows a 12-year animal cycle similar to the Chinese zodiac). Usually falling on April 13 or 14, families clean their homes, offer food, fruit, and incense to the angel, and visit temples to ring in the new year.

Songkran is celebrated in India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand and Laos, etc!

Judy is wearing a Khmer warrior costume (taken from the element of hanuman more or less, I have picture references of the traditional clothing if you are interested! But I try to make it fit their design:3) and Nick is wearing a crown (which I wanna make it more different shaped but I stop myself from complicating things any further cuz I think it look kinda good and sharp!), the diamond shape golden thing on his forehead is usually what tevada/immortal have but I think it looks really interesting and noble. I played around the design with a bit and he has the sbai/shawl fabric with the noble golden necklace and a sambot/fabric skirt below, he is like a sly calculative noble while she is a detective warrior. They’re trying to fit in this new place which is angkorian inspired and complete their mission :)

Meet Chan and Tavon!

Their past life is Inspired by king Fa Ngum of first Lao kingdom Lan Xang where he was first exiled to Khmer Emoire and supported by a Khmer king who help him with 10k of Khmer army to march back to Lao and reunite the nation into the kingdom of a million elephants and had his daughter married, who is later on Khmer princess where she became Queen Keo Kang Ya played a pivotal role in introducing Khmer culture and Theravada Buddhism to the region, establishing it as the state religion :3 could this be considered a hetalia oc haha CamLao 🔝
