It’s AU day so here’s something for my Reverse AU :D

I didn’t have too many ideas so I took this time to do a lineup of these lovely characters :3

i think it is au day for pokemon ranger week? suddenly and forcibly reminded of my crime au i posted one chapter of this time last year and didn’t touch again for several months

uhh so i had this au idea a long time back that i never really fleshed out in my head but the gist of it is that kellyn (age 19) is on a solo mission tracking kincaid and the remnants of dim sun to hia valley, where they manage to find/call forth dialga 

kellyn gets caught up in a time warp and ends up being thrown seven years in the past. when he catches up to kincaid, whom dialga sent back a few weeks before kellyn, kincaid manages to convince the ranger union that kellyn has stolen the styler technology and was trying to use it for his own gain. kellyn then becomes a fugitive and realizes that kincaid is trying to rewrite time so the rangers won’t be able to stop him. kincaid, as it turns out, is trying to get a hold of the three gems, whose secrets he knows, to keep them out of the ranger union’s hands in the future so blake hall’s plans will not be thwarted. 

kellyn, who is being pursued by the union, ends up tracking down kate, who is a 12 year old girl living with her parents and baby sister on a farm. she is the only one who will believe his story and with her already advanced help as a mechanic (for a preteen) he is able to stop kincaid and travel back to their proper time and set everything back the way it should be.

I have it that Lil Sis did try out the Ranger Academy, but never made it/never made it through. In most of my continuities she pretty much runs away in the end (with a couple of Kellyn’s partner Pokémon she has bonded with), but in the interval there are a lot of miseries involving her brother who has been even kind of a father figure to her. And the overall struggles being the younger sibling of such a… renowned figure in his own right, compared to whom she’s simply never going to be good enough. Long story short, their relationship is tense (As of this general moment in my TL; with Kellyn in his late teens-mid twenties).

And Kellyn just doesn’t know what to do about her, he DOTES over her but knowing him, his chances of getting that across is slimmer than average. And it’s also complicated by the fact she likes to torment him every now and then. Her adolescent rage is channeling towards him, and he generally doesn’t understand it very well because adolescence is something Kellyn completely SKIPPED.

In a way she’s like a bit of me in terms of her level of self-esteem, even though I have no overaccomplished older sibling or anything like that xD

Pokemon Ranger Hc

Ranger unions have a rather strict policy on rooms. There are some rooms inside the base, esp for new rangers fresh out of school and young enough to still look confused, dazzled, and unsure. These rooms in the base are often for the ranger leader himself, the staff of the base, and the new kids and a few older rangers who prefer on base housing.

Generally though, all rangers have thier own housing. it might be a apartment deal, all with at least one patio of decent size for partner pokemon. Lower levels are often resrved for rangers with a pokemon that wouldnt do well in heights, or needs solid ground, or would be a fire hazard and therefor needs an outside dwelling. Plant types are often on ground floors as well. For those who dont like cramped apartments, prefer or require privacy for personal or mental reasons, or just dont deal well with people and prefer dealing with pokemon on the whole, there are little houses in the more nature area near each base. Some are simply two to four homes stuck together at different levels or sides, some connexted with a little rooftop walkway that always seems to have aquired a vine plant like roses, ivy, or suchlike, whike others are made stand alone, with rooms for one to four rangers, despite offocial rules stating that you can only have two rangers permantly living in a dwelling, three stretching it and requiring approval. The reasons for this stack up. Illness spreads like wildfire through a cramped quarters or where lots of people linger, so spacing out rangers and only allowing a few to be roomates cuts the risk of an entire base being out ue to a udden sickness spreading.

The other reason allows rangers to have thier own space, but with two to a housing arrangement, there is usually always one to look after the other, take up chores the other dislikes or cant do, and can take care of the other’s stuff if they drag themselves back at 3am from some horribly extended shift. IT allows the leaders to keep better track of thier rangers, thier health, who has been suffering from lack of sleep or needs time to recoup, and an injured ranger will alwyas have someone to care for them if they have an illness or injury that prevents them from getting around.

There can be a bit of shuffling for new rangers who come in to a base, and often they end up with a roomate who came from the same area or about the same class.

Pokemon Ranger Day 5: Headcanons

So a couple years ago I tried to make a timeline that encompassed the ranger games as well as some headcanons to go with it.  Looking back a lot of them suck but I decided to salvage the cool ones and put them here.

Ponte and Wendy are siblings

Summer is Kate’s Lil Sis.

Top Rangers sometimes get assigned to missions outside of the main 3 ranger regions, and Jack is the main one who does this, but it’s pretty uncommon.

Basically because the other regions have pokeballs and pokemon trainers, rangers aren’t needed as much to maintain order and the rangers there aren’t really associated with The Ranger Union

In Almia, Oblivia and Fiore it’s illegal to use pokeballs to train pokemon because they’re trying to preserve the wild population. Having a system of pokemon rangers worked better to do this.

Solana, Sven and Jack are from Hoenn

Keith and Rhythmi are from Unova

Kellyn is from Sinnoh (i know technically Kellyn and Kate would both be from Fiore but something about this feels right to me).

Pokemon Ranger Week Day 5: Headcanons

My first headcanon I like is that Kate/Kellyn’s mother was given a managerial job at Altru Inc. which helped them move to Almia. She obviously didn’t know anything about Team Dim Sun at the time so it came as a shock when she was suddenly fired.

My second headcanon is that Ponte started school in the Ranger Course but as he was about to finish he transferred. He continued to do this until Kate/Kellyn’s year when he finished the Operator course. He changed courses because he always felt ill-fitting for them. He felt too cowardly for a Ranger, too clumsy for a Mechanic, and too dull for an Operator.

Here are some various assorted headcanons for Arcticwing (Aria/Wendy)

Wendy’s probably the person that uses all the hot water since she tends to be so active and it feels good on sore muscles. Aria’s still plenty active but just nowhere near as much as Wendy is. She doesn’t mind cold showers but a hot one would be nice every now and then.

Wendy does the majority of the cooking. Aria’s a gourmet chef in her own right (she did learn from Elizabeth (Elita)), but she’s concerned with everything from presentation to flavor. Wendy’s just about cooking and getting food on the table rather than anything else. Her food’s still really damn good even if it doesn’t look pretty the majority of the time.

Aria’s an early bird and Wendy’s a night owl. There are conflicts with sleep scheduling.

Wendy’s the one that tends to do lots of small things everyday while Aria’s generally the one to remember anniversaries and other important dates. Not that they both don’t do both, but these are just the general tendencies.

Despite how polar opposite they are, they’re best friends and have been since they were very young. Aside from the half decade or so where they had a severe falling out. They made up and eventually got together though.

Wendy can cook but not bake. Do not let her near any sort of baking mix or the fire alarm will go off.

Heath and Ice don’t usually kiss a lot, Ice is really picky with stuff like that. So instead they do a lot of nose nuzzles, forehead presses, stuff like that. It’s just little things that show how much they love each other.
