I feel like this shouldn't need to be said and I'm probably preaching to the converted in 90% of cases but I don't understand how the people repeatedly crossing boundaries can't see the repercussions of their actions?

Like meet and greets becoming ticketed events and just generally less frequent. Yes, venues were getting bigger but also people were acting weirdly and probably making the SFTH guys uncomfortable.

And then when people abuse the power they have to shout out because "it's an improv show", SFTH go from occasionally addressing it on stage as a joke to making a much more official statement about it in the discord - although I wish they'd done it on a more visible social media.

And now you have things like someone in the patreon comments saying Luke is bi (the posts are floating around on Tumblr if you want proof) which crosses a whole other line. What do people expect to happen from this? Because the more you cross lines, the less likely it is that they will do solo livestreams on the patreon or QnAs at all. Or maybe they will interact with comments less if reading them becomes uncomfortable.

I don't know where I'm going with this really, just trying to encourage people to think more than five minutes into the future when they do something because there are clear things that the guys have done in response to fan behaviour - understandable things, to be clear - and they are just going to keep doing that if they are forced to. The internet can unfortunately be a weird place and as they get more popular it's just basic statistics that they will get more uncomfortable behaviour happening on their public social media. But in the patreon, a semi-private place that is meant to be more chill, more comfortable and just generally more tailored to them, the fact that the weird behaviour is starting to creep in there is so disappointing to see. Like please can people not make it seem like every SFTH fan has never heard of boundaries??

Unfortunately I think being associated with behaviour like that can start to push away people who are just there to enjoy the improv and get worn down by seeing the constant uncomfortable behaviour from other viewers. And in my mind that is how you start to get fandoms that have a bit of a reputation for being super intense, etc. I hope I can speak for a lot of people by saying we don't want that to happen here.

(aware this is a gloomy post lol but trying to vent so I don't become one of those people who stops engaging with SFTH because of the fans rather than because I fall out of love with the content)

yeah i totally get this and fully agree, i get that sfth can be really insipring and i know they have helped loads of people (including myself) in dark times, but some fans are genuinly fetishising them at this point and its disgusting, like yeah they kiss on stage, but some people take it too far - they're proffesional actors and really close friends, i wish some people understood when too far is too far.

Just watched the new lf.(Yes, 3 days late🫩)

Just have to say : Jimmy (screams of the damned) , Peter ( the milkman) , Arthur (the game of truth and tea) and Dylan would be besties, they are just incredible, well-played characters (by the amazing Tom Mayo) that would have so much in common (trauma? Maybe).

I really love how Tom portrays this kind of characters it's just amazing.

adding to this i've noticed and am sure many others have, that toms played quite a few young characters called jimmy - i can think of at least 3 off the top of my head.

but they all are unique in their own way, and as similar as they all are, all of the jimmy's (and other young characters he plays) do have their own quirks and jokes. tom is amazing, and we love him

right so sfth fanfic writers please read:

i saw someone had a theory that in annabelle and butch are the couple in we buried the wrong body - ill explain. in ngaag, when annabelles dad is trying to refer to butch hes goes' she - they - he' 'its just she daddy' 'give it time'. this theory is saying that by give it time butch is actually trans and changes his name to johnny

in ngaag, butch obviously says 'love of my life' when refering to annabelle as they are riding their horses, and in wbtwb, jhonny's wife says that he hasn't called her 'love' in years.

i really liked the theory and credit if it is your one, i dont mean to steal it or anything but i just thought it was so cool. i feel like a fanfic going into deeper detail into this or smt would be rly cool, just an idea yall<3

so ive started to write a story where the main character is a trans guy and the love interest is heavily inspired by sam russell. they're both in uni, and the relationship dynamic is one of my favorite ones out there. it was meant to be a fan fiction (because im in love with sam) but it slowly faded purely into a story of my own. its got like 10 chapters i really locked in, anyone interested in reading it or am i too hyped about this

Welcome to the Shoot From the Hip Improvised Fanfic Challenge!

What is this? 

This is a collaborative fic writing challenge event where participants will write a complete story with a beginning, middle, and hopefully even an end! 

How does it work? 

Participants will be put into small groups of three to five writers. That group will be randomly assigned a Title for their story, then in the spirit of longform improv, they will collaboratively write a fanfic together, one chapter per person, with zero pre-planning. So person A writes chapter 1, person B sees chapter 1 and then writes chapter 2 with no other planning/discussion, and so on! 

Where do the Titles come from?

From you! Submit whatever titles you'd like to the inbox here, they can be past rejected longform titles, longform titles you've seen live that didn't get released, or totally original!

When does it start? 

Sign ups will be from October 1st through October 8th! After sign ups close, participants will be assigned their groups and posting days, fic posting will begin in November (more specific dates to be announced).

dont know if anyone saw but in the q&a for ginny's wild adventure, one of the questions was are any of you queer? tom said he definitely wasn't straight, and he's get back to us when he figures it out.
