The Great Cor-ray-ray
We decided to do an interview on one of our team riders Corey Kushik for a couple reasons. The first being that he's an original unique guy and he really brings that side out when he's skating. Another being he's just a rad dude to be around. Personally, he's one of my favorite skaters around. That's just my opinion though.
Interview
Q: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview.
A: Anytime Michael. I wouldn't do it for anyone else.
Q: How long have you been skating?
A: I've always skated on and off but collectively around 6 or 7 years.
Q: How did it all get started for you?
A: My older neighbor down the street had a skate and I would always see him skating down the street and i always thought it was cool when i was younger.
Q: How do you get inspiration to skate?
A: Stuff that doesn't even really involve skateboarding. Like music, stellar scenes, and everything around me. Spaceship Earth inspires me.
Q: What makes you want to ride for Plank Eye burd' shurp'?
A: They accept my weird self. They support my obscurity in a very humble way.
Q: How do you feel about the growing popularity in skateboarding today?
A: It's butt sauce.
Q: Who did you grow up watching?
A: Jason Dill and the workshop crew. Also the Love Park squad. Lots of east coast.
Q: What's your ideal set up look like?
A: A board that skates. Preferably with a weird shape.
Q: Who's your all-time favorite skateboarder?
A: Steven Dimbokowitz
Q: Do you do any other sports?
A: Naw bruh
Q: Where do you go the most to get your gnarly on?
A: Deep within the mantle of the earth.
Q: When did you decide you wanted to stick with skateboarding?
A: It's the only thing I feel like I do well.
Q: What pushes you to be better?
A: The homies.
Q: On a scale of 1-10, how beautiful am I?
A: Is 15 not high enough?
Q: Last question, if you could say one thing to all the kids learning how to skate, what would you say?
A: Have fun and skate what how you want to skate.
