150 of my favourite tracks from 1989. The apex year of British rave culture, a stone-classic year for hip-hop and albums of profane poetry. Enjoy!
1988 was an epic year. Great alternative music from Pixies and REM, rock classics from Metallica and Iron Maiden, Public Enemy and NWA make historic albums. Masterpieces from Talk Talk and Queensryche. More than 140 great tracks.

ABC of Metal! The Alphabet of Metal Music.
Great track from Natasha Khan and het Bat for Lashes!
1987, a break-out year for ’80s alternative artists, with many acts releasing the albums that crossed them over to the mainstream or flat-out made them superstars. Great albums like Music For the Masses, Strangeways, Here We Come, Diesel and Dust and Document. Enjoy! Still updating...
30 years ago they made these great songs! Classic albums like "The Queen is Dead, "Graceland", "Master of Puppets" and many more were released in '86. Still updating the list...
Another great year in music this was! It was the year of Live Aid and USA for Africa. Great albums were released; Hounds of Love (Kate Bush), Meat is Murder (the Smiths), Brothers in Arms (Dire Straits), Songs from the Big Chair (Tears for Fears), Love (The Cult) etc.
1983 was the year Michael Jackson led the charge as America woke up to black music. New groups hit it big on the radio, and record labels bowed before MTV. My favourite albums were “The Crossing”, “The Hurting”, “Seven and the Ragged Tiger”, “Speaking in Tongues” and “Kill ‘Em All”
The Astronaut's Playlist! Contains 50 great songs about space and beyond. Also a tribute to the great documentary series that aired in 2014. And of course the list HAS to start with "The Galaxy Song" by Monty Python
What an amazing new track! Can’t wait for the album “Skeleton Tree” and the film “One More Time With Feeling”
