I've decided to do the same thing, but this time it's a month about Secondo!
Our beloved Second Papa and Mr.Worldwide lookalike isn't always as popular to post about compared to the more modern Papa(s). But that doesn't mean we can't take a month to celebrate him!
How will it work?

Summary: Being half-human half-siren has left Clara with the desire for flesh, but weird hang ups about eating humans. Thankfully, she's discovered that selling fish at the market leaves her with enough coin to buy juicy steaks. Dinner in hand, all is at it should be. Or, at least until she runs across a vampire drawing too much attention on her dock. Ever the problem solver, she extricates them from the situation, but then she and vampire discover neither of them is quite ready for the night to end.
A gift for @plethora-of-imagines on this the day of her birth. Happy birthday!

Chapter 1 in full here, rest on AO3:
The journey to the docks was always much more pleasant than the walk from it, Clara mused as she picked her way down the moonlit cobbles. For one thing, her basket was lighter without a day's catch in it—a fact she celebrated by allowing it to swing as she walked. For another, this late a night most other people had already sought out their beds, giving her the freedom to take off her cap. Her hair now flowed freely and the wind tickled her scalp, heavenly after the constrictions of daytime. However, best of all, was that it was now dinner time. It had been a good day at market—Fridays usually were in her line—and the butcher knew her habits well enough to save her a prime cut. She held the thick slab of beef close to her chest as her mouth watered as she imagined the taste, and the yield of flesh under her fangs.
She had her mom to thank for those, her fangs that is. And the hunger that compelled her to use them. And her fins—when she was in water. And several other variably useful traits. All her father had left her, by contrast, was her land-legs and a squeamishness about eating humans; annoying, really.
That was why she bothered to come on land at all. She had tried to resist the lure of land-meat when she was younger, but it had left her unsatisfied, wan, and irritable—as her aunts had never ceased to point out. She had begun by hunting the game that would come to the water's edge, grabbing anything foolish enough to get close and dragging them down to a watery, and delicious, end. There was a thrill to the hunt, but also risk. Clara was a fan of the former, but less so of the latter. So, when her aunts had lured yet another fisherman from his boat, Clara took the opportunity of purloining his things and making for town.
The town was, thankfully, large enough that while a single woman turning up with a basket of fish to sell was odd, it wasn't so odd that anyone tried to stop her. It had taken a while to learn the knack of business and to build a clientele, both markedly harder without the use of her voice—something she absolutely couldn't risk—but she had done it. Now she had perhaps three score of loyal humans who would come to her, knowing she had the freshest, best fish, and give her their coins. Coins she would exchange for the best meat she could by.
Thoughts on her coming meal, Clara wasn't paying too much attention as she rounded the last bend and emerged into the docks themselves. Fingers of wood stuck out into the shallow, protected harbor. Boats decorated each dock, thumping gently against them as the waves washed in, only now audible as the seabirds had sought out their own roosts. Clara pulled in a deep breath, savoring the fresh brine of the air, then started towards the furthest dock.
She made it all the way her destination, pulled off and stored her shoes—she, personally, saw no use for them, but she had gotten so many pitying looks at the market she had finally saved enough coin to buy herself a pair—and her basket before she heard the moan. It was so out of place, she paused and listened.
It came again. A soft, and if she had to hazard a guess feminine, moan. Clara straightened and squinted down the dock. There, at the end, she just made out a shape. It was the size of a human, but there was something odd about it. Squinting her eyes, she crept closer. It moved. She froze. At last she could make them out.
The movement she had seen was the pair turning so that now the woman faced Clara. The woman's clothes were light colored and stood out in contrast to the masculine shadow she was twined around. Clara eased still closer yet. Embraces as lustful this were uncommon in the market place, and though curiosity had wracked Clara, she had never dared explore this faucet of humanity on her own.
When she was as close as she thought she could reasonably get, Clara squatted down behind a barrel and just peeked her head over the top. This near, she could see more of their movements. She watched as the woman raised her chest up, back arching in what Clara thought seemed a painful crescent. She tried to make out what, exactly, the man was doing to her to cause such a reaction, but it was so hard find his outline. He seemed as much a shadow as flesh and blood, only a slightly darker outline against a moonlit night.
"Rose!" a deep voice split the quiet. The woman swung her head around and Clara registered the surprise on her face before she, too, turned to look at the end of the dock. A man, this one no part of the shadow and instead glinting of unsheathed steel, stormed down the dock. "Rose! Away from him!"
"No, Norman!" Rose pleaded. Clara whipped her head back around to watch Rose extricate herself from her shadow lover and start toward Norman. "Norman, it's not what you think."
This point would have been rather more convincing if Rose's breasts were not currently free from her dress, the pale skin radiant in the moonlight.
"Don't lie to me! You have been false before, I always expected you to be again. But this time I will not let this go unanswered!" Norman thundered back. Rose, by this point, reached Norman and threw herself at him. Instinct, Clara assumed, made him catch her, but once he realized who he held, he promptly dropped her. Clara felt the thud of Rose hitting the deck in her feet. Norman raised the sword in blatant challenge and settled into a ready stance. "Well, sir, will you draw?"
"No," was the simple drawl of response. Clara's eyes sought out the shadow, and a glowing white eye was the first thing she made out. Something strange stirred in her nethers at the sight, but she pushed that away and strained her human eyes for more details. They came slowly and begrudgingly. He was indeed large and solidly built, as his silhouette had suggested. His head was bald, and Clara struggled to understand if the darkness across his upper lip was a mustache or simply a shadow. In fact, that was her whole impression of his face. Obsidian pockets contorted his features into something so fierce and skull-like that she was left feeling she saw him not at all .
"Then you will die!" Norman called, taking two, rapid steps forward.
"No," came the reply again.
Is he a fool? Clara wondered, chewing her lip and debating her options. He, whatever he was, was obviously like her. That is to say, not fully human. However, it was well understood amongst all those non-humans she knew that it was generally a good idea to keep the fact that they were anything other than human a secret. Humans were ever so fond of working themselves into a violent frenzy, which never ended well for the target of said frenzy.
"Please!" Rose cried. "Norman, don't hurt him!'
Norman laughed, then said with mock benevolence. "I will make it quick."
Norman lunged for the shadow man and Clara was on her feet. She watched the shadow slip from the path of the blade, and let out an exhale until that white eye landed on her. The weight of his attention was a heavy, palpable thing.
"Norman!' Rose wailed.
"Bastard!" Norman shouted.
Clara couldn't be certain, but she thought the shadow man smiled.
Norman lunged for the shadow again, and again Norman's blade found nothing but air. Only Norman's foot caught an uneven board and he went sprawling on the deck. Rose wailed again, and descended on his prone form in a flurry of skirts and tears.
"Well?" the shadow man prompted, keeping his attention on Clara. Clara raised her brows in silent question.
"Who's she?" Rose asked.
Clara's brows slammed back down into a scowl. Perfect. As if it wasn't bad enough that the shadow man saw her, now the humans too. Ultimately, she supposed it was her fault for standing up. Still, it was hardly ideal. She needed to get out of here. Now. And because she was feeling generous—definitely not curious and strangely restless—she would take this shadow man with her.
Clara eased around her hiding barrel until the had a clear line between her, the shadow man, and the water. And then she ran. She dropped her shoulder at the last minute and tried to brace herself, but even still the impact with the shadow man was crunching. Importantly, though, it was enough and they both tumbled off the dark and into the black abyss of the ocean.
The water closed around her, cool and silent and welcoming after a day on land. Clara willed her transformation to happen quickly, and when she took a gasp of water, she felt the breath that had left her on impact with the shadow man flood back into her blood. Speaking of the shadow man, she cast her arms about to look for him.
The moon only illuminated so much in the water, rendering it a black abyss. Normally, this was not a problem for Clara. Her mother's blood granted her other ways to perceive the world, including the ability to sense the energies given off by other living things. She strained that sense as far as it would go as she kept sweeping her hands in front of her, but no matter how hard she looked she could not find the shadow man.
When something grabbed on her dress, she started and swung. Her fist was caught, and it took her mind a moment to realize that it was a human-feeling hand holding her own, and not the maw of some fish. Hoping her shadow man had found her, she reached out with her free hand and felt for him. Her hand met a broad shoulder and she patted along it until she found his head.
As her vision above had implied, he was bald, though his face felt like a normal person's and not a skull as she ran her fingers along it. She paused with them over his mouth, mustache not shadow tickling her fingers, trying to feel for a breath. Instead an obvious inhale or exhale, his lips seemed to curl into a smile.
Why was he always smiling at her?
Well, regardless, he didn't seem to be in any distress under the water and like this there was no way for Clara to question him. She left his mouth and felt along his arm until she finally reached his hand that was still wrapped around her fist. Holding his wrist, she gently pulled her fist free. She then returned that hand to his, this time holding tight instead of in a fist. His own had tightened on hers in response.
That was…distractingly nice. His hand was larger than hers, and she found the strength implied by his firm grip strangely comforting.
Shaking off her odd thoughts, flicked her tail and urged them both forward. Thankfully, he wasn't too heavy to pull and after another couple more vigorous flicks of her tail they were off at a decent speed.

Wow! I actually have something I want to tease and it happens to be Wednesday? Amazing!
Thanks to some prompting from @plethora-of-imagines, I've taken a detour from Big E's...kinda. I've pulled out my favorite of the Papas (Secondo) and given him a little story set several (hundred) years before Big E's. I'm hoping to have the first chapter, at least, ready in a week 🤞. So, if vampire!Secondo and a not-fully-human OC are your jam, then stick around
Agent O is especially hilarious to me because spy could've easily just falsified records and hypnotised people he's done it before and it worked a treat but NO this larper had to keep up with the whole Barbie 'I've had every job in the world!' routine and pretended to be an analyst at MI6 for YEARS and when he finally Fox Muldered too close to the sun and got fired he sat in the Australian desert for even longer wearing a fuckass go Diego go outfit and memoryfoam sketchers while collecting mint conditions of the Fortean times. He was living in his TARDIS the whole time nobody was forcing him to be there. Funniest mf of all time
