It's your first day at your new job, and you're excited and nervous. You were worried about being late, so you skipped breakfast to make sure you got there early. That seemed fine, until, while the woman teaching you the ropes was talking, your stomach rumbled. You flushed, but she smiled. "Do you like chocolate?" she asked, opening her desk drawer and pulling out a few small pieces. She hands you some, and you unwrap the first piece and put it in your mouth.
You look back at her, and see the source of the noise in her hand. "Oh, this is a stim toy," she says, with an awkward laugh. "I'm autistic." You nod, but it's not like any stim toy you've ever seen. You put another piece of chocolate in your mouth.
Again, the moment you taste it, you hear the noise. You look at the so called stim toy again, and you're sure it's no normal one. It doesn't look like it can do anything other than make that one noise. But you can't just accuse her of lying about it being a stim toy. You'd sound like an asshole. You watch her as you put the third piece into your mouth and bite down.
She's not even trying to hide it, really! But then, maybe she doesn't think she needs to. She probably thinks you don't even know what clicker training is. You realize that you can't confront her about it without admitting that you know it. That you've seen people online being horny about it, and been at least a little intrigued. What if it's really a coincidence, and she's doing it by accident?
It's so on purpose! Why are you trying to make excuses for her? You'll just ignore her. Since you know what she's doing, it probably won't even work. You calm yourself down. Yeah, that should- "I'm excited to get to know you better," she says, "I've always wanted to train a new hire." You try not to blush at her slight emphasis on the word, which she obviously thinks of as a private joke you won't understand. Not sure you can say anything, even if you knew what to say, you put another piece of chocolate in your mouth.
It's going to be an interesting first month.
