i recently realised some people believe that if something bad happens to bad people, it's not a bad thing. then, in conflicts, they try to figure out who was good and who was bad, and the good guy is justified in doing whatever it takes to be safe to the bad guy, and the bad guy is not justified in harming the good guy, even if it makes them safe.
this "good guys must be protected" and "it's fine if bad things happen to bad guys" leads to arguments about whether someone who gets injured was good, in order to determine if the person who harmed them is a good person (because the harmed person was bad, so it's fine) or a bad person (because the harmed person was good, so harming them was a bad thing)
my view of things comes from the principle that good things are good and bad things are bad, no matter who they happen to. each act needs to be considered on their own merits, based on the conclusions. inaction is a choice, and can be weighed against the morality of action. shooting someone dead is bad, but if it prevented them from blowing up a hundred people, it was at least less bad than not shooting them dead. people who are not justified in doing bad things should receive justice, not because the punishments are good (or even not bad), but because punishing them deters and prevents them and others from doing later bad things without justification.
real talk tho ive seen ppl talk abt how long hair on men isn't intrinsically feminine & assuming so is racist can we get the same convo going for Black women w short hair can we start talking abt how short hair isn't intrinsically masculine or is that a step too far
idw hear any more white people's opinions on this topic bc it's so clear they do not get it but they're soooo confident they do...... "well nothing is intrinsically masculine or feminine" yesss it's almost as though every culture has its own constructed gender norms which is why these values r culturally relative & why it's racist to impose eurocentric gender expectations on racialized bodies. all well & good to say femininity & masculinity should be completely abolished but what are you going to do for the Black women who are being labelled masc or gender non-conforming right now for not aligning with white gender norms that exclude them by design. "gender norms are social constructs do whatever you want forever" isn't enough we need to be saying "Black women are assumed to be deviating from gender norms just by existing even when they are purposefully expressing femininity bc western gender structures are built upon whiteness" like you've got to start by dismantling the racism & white supremacy inherent in these structures or you will leave racialized women behind
hey i found this in the corner of your room
I think its good for tgirls to be kinda mean and abrasive to an extent though at the same time im a sensitive soul at heart
HOMELESS DISABLED TRANSFEM COUPLE MUTUAL AID
hi everyone, its puppet! you may know it from getting terminated constantly and having to remake its dono posts a lot. sadly it has to aaagain.
so, puppets a homeless and disabled trans woman, and it cant work, has been couch crashing, and has been living purely off donations from tumblr as they keep terminating it. and now on top of that, it is living with its girlfriend, @phantomqueen10001001! while this has been great for both of us,, puppet already only has enough money for food for the next 1-2 weeks, and we both really need to eat. and so we would really appreciate if anyone could help!
puppet has a paypal here, and cassie has one here.
also, in august we are going to lose our current crash spot, and we need to look for another, but we're very disconnected in the city.. if anyone here knows anyone in seattle who needs a roommate or who could give us a place to stay for a while,,
we'd really really appreciate any help.
puppet loves you!! please reblog if you can to help us out, we could really really use it. ♡
trans women with glasses should start dating other trans women with glasses. because it is cute and also because it is the first step in my grand and sinister plan.
is your grand and sinister plan to watch them try to kiss but accidentally bump their glasses together and then pull back and start giggling before going in for another one?
Birthday boy discovers "sealioning", a tactic that MRA chuds have been using for decades. Thinks he's invented something new and effective. Sees people correctly interpreting this for sealioning, being annoyed, and probably immediately blocking him, and makes the classic chud mistake of thinking this means he's "won."
There isn't an original thought in the heads of these tMRA dorks.
"how is this harassment" he asks after literally describing in detail exactly how it is harassment.
it’s fascinating to watch them just talk about adopting GamerGate/Redpill tactics, openly
i hate how pervasive the r-word has become again
its like the 2000s to early 2010s again where talking to anyone theres a good chance they'll casually say a slur without any thought
and whats even more annoying now is people who'll try to weasel out of being called out on it
'oh its fine because i'm legally mentally disabled so i can say it' NOT HOW RECLAMATION WORKS
AND SAME WITH DEGENERATE
STOP TALKING LIKE A FUCKING NAZI
I really wonder what the demographic outcome would be of trans people involuntarily getting "the body you'd have if practicality wasn't a concern" like what percentage of the resulting bodies would be obviously nonhuman?
As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams she found herself transformed in her bed into a cyborg werewolf with dragonfly wings.
someone who told me they hope my bottom surgery is botched is a "jax is just a feminine guy" truther. which could mean nothing
femboy obsessors continue to be some of the most transmisogynistic people on the planet
the fact that this is a whole genre of person very much shows that transmisogyny is not just "homophobia" or the hatred of femininity in "men" or whatever. no, the moment the word "woman" is uttered these people recoil
people laugh at the idea that merely saying you're a woman can make you a target of misogyny but it's true
Could I request Vortex Club Kate Marsh? aka Victoria gives Kate a makeover for their date and Kate decides to keep this aesthetic
Chasemarsh - Vortex Kate
basically in this au, victoria is less of a not nice and is actually friends with kate
kate keeps getting picked on by the other students for her hair and clothes (Victoria of course makes their lives hell behind kate's back but still, she wants her to stand up for herself)
Victoria gets sick of Kate talking down to herself so she takes her out shopping
At first kate was happy with her new look and victoria was glad to see her with a new confident attitude but that caught the attention of the Vortex club and slowly kate lost herself to Vortex- her and Victoria had a falling out over it
One night, Victoria gets a knock on the door and she finds a rough looking Kate- cleary she had a rough night (Got really drunk and threw up on someone)
Instead of judging her, Victoria helped her clean up and let borrow one of her pajamas.
They ended up spending the night in each others arms, they're going to graduate soon anyways and all of this will be in the past

I wanted to draw more of this buuut this week was tough as hell, my region is currently on fire thanks to isntreal and murica
THIS IS SO SWEET OH MY GOODNESS
The body language in the beginning is so subtle and so effective. Just the way she’s inching her hand over while Kate’s firmly on the opposite side.
Love Kate’s outfit too! Honest to goodness off shoulder shirts like that make me WEAK
The vortex spiral getting larger as Kate gets deeper and deeper into it is also so sick, AND LOOK AT THEM AT THE END THEYRE SO SOFT
So so good Nashbrowns, AHH I love every bit of this.
Keep up the amazing work, habibi 😚
BESTINA!
I wanted to convey that Victoria always had a thing for kate from the beginning and the makeover and wanting her to be more confident was her way of showing affection
I LOVE PUTTING KATE MARSH IN EARLY 2010S NORMAL TEENAGER CLOTHES
she didn't anticipate kate losing herself to her wild side over this and she deeply regrets it, LOOK AT KATE IN VICTORIAS AGENT BLUEBERRY SHIRT
thank you habibti, im glad you liked this
for the record if you ever use the term "misandry" in a serious way you are a reactionary misogynist
"Trans men can't be misogynists, we experience misogyny!"
When I was in highschool, and still DEEP in the closet freshman year, there was this trans guy who absolutely HATED my guts. I didn't know this guy, he didn't know me. I spoke to someone he had a crush on one time I guess. Idk. I hadn't intended on doing anything, I was trying to make friends, i didn't know anyone there. For the rest of the year this guy would harrass and threaten me constantly. He'd constantly talk about my appearance, my body, what an ugly evil bitch whore I was and how he wanted to beat the shit out of me, show me my place. He constantly talked about women this way. And i knew he wasn't joking, he'd seriously hurt several girls in our glass. Had his entire friend group hating me too, which was pretty large especially considering how small our class was. I had to switch classes. This lasted I kid you not well into the next year. Over practically nothing. I was constantly looking over my shoulder so I could avoid him. Until I came out as a trans guy. I cut my hair, started dressing a bit differently. I shit you not, the literal next day he profusely apologized to me and then told me how good I looked now. His entire friend group was suddenly nicer to me. And he asked me out. Oh and also after years of sexual harassment from like dozens of men in my class daily, I literally only experienced transphobia. The misogyny and sexual harrassment almost completely stopped. Yes even when I didn't pass at all. Even with makeup, even without binding.
"stop with the oppression olympics" has always been a thought terminating cliche, but i feel like around a decade ago it at least sometimes tended to be used in response to those sort of completely incoherent Privilege Calculation Charts and the discussions they sparked, which didn't really deserve any meaningful engagement anyway because its a useless way of trying to understand power and harm.
now it is almost exclusively used by people who categorically reject the idea that there are groups who are observably more at risk than others, and you should consider it a red flag whenever you see it. anyone trying to convince you that we're all on equal footing is not ever doing this to uplift anyone and develop a sense of community. it's the move of someone who just wants to abdicate their own responsibility for understanding their relative social position, because they have built up too much of their identity on being, in all circumstances, the victim.
yeah. yeah.
we're all feeling normal huh
What an irritating little noise. Triggered my misophonia.
Ironically your stupid ask made me draw more dragon, too bad you won't be able to see it. Sad!
