I’m finally back! and posting something which I’ve made so many times before! I genuinely need to start taking pictures of things again lol

I think the majority of my friends have one of these, they’re so easy to make and really really useful!

I never usually make the pom poms, they tend to get in the way of using them. I also tend to add more SC rows to allow for more storage as well as adding a row of DC on the very end

✨ WIP Wednesday ✨

So I haven’t been posting these past few days since I’ve been working on a massive cardigan for my partner, one of my most ambitious projects yet and honestly I’m astounded by how much progress I’ve already made this week. To be fair, my hands have been aching so I’ve had to take yesterday off 😅

Also I do not want to know how many balls of yarn I’ve used, though it has helped me manage the hoard a tiny bit (seriously not by much lol)

Honestly, I’ve had both a load of motivation for this project as well is not an awful lot. I was on the brink of starting other side projects but I know that I would just fall out of the rhythm and would it take me ages to get back into it

Recently my partner and I have been rewatching smiling friends a lot, where I somewhat fell in love with Glep (not literally 😅) and felt the need to try and make a plushie for him, especially since I doubt that officially licensed ones would be released lol.

After quite a bit of digging, I was able to find this pattern available on Reddit 😅

I believe that there are some errors in the pattern images themselves, though nothing which I couldn’t get my head around 👍👍 also the odd shape made assembly a little complex/confusing but nothing over the top

Completion time: ⏱ 5 hours ⏱

Rating: ✨ 6/10 - it would help if the images didn’t have errors in them✨

This is the first time I've had to crunch a project and let me tell you, it's not a good idea, my hands were hurting like hell. It wasn't too difficult of a pattern though trying to make a full plushie in the span of an afternoon/evening isn't an idea I recommend.

This time around I used a pattern from a book which you can find here, ISBN-10: 949164324X

It might be fun to try making the mane and tail by just tying pieces of yarn and potentially brushing them out so that they have more of a hair-like texture

Completion time: ⏱ 12 hours (pain) ⏱

Had a lot of fun making these gifts for my family members, i’m sure they’ll enjoy them. Very simple amigurimi heart, though joining the two bumps on the top was a little difficult to figure out, the video was super helpful with understanding how to assemble the heart itself

I highly recommend also using the video tutorial to help follow along as it was quite in-depth and helped clear up some of the confusion the written pattern gave me. in future, i think that i’ll experiment with colour changes, potentially making some pride flag hearts.

Honesty haven’t seen myself complete a crochet pattern with multiple elements this quickly 😅. Probably helped that it was my favourite animal <3

I changed up a few features but overall it was a very fun, beginner friendly pattern. Great for anyone wanting to try amigurumi (the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small, stuffed yarn creatures) or just wanting a simple pattern to kill the time
