do any of you actually feel like, rather than “being good” in the area of life indicated by a house stellium, you struggle way more than others? i feel like it’s because there’s so many planets in the way. we have to work through them first before we can take care of that life area. i think kayla from @astrologanize feels like this about her 3rd house stellium and i feel like that about my 11th house stellium… having an empty house may be a blessing after all because it makes it a lot more simple to approach that area of life. however, stellia do show a huge potential for growth and development.

A Stellium is a concentration of energy (planets) in a house. Astrologers differ in how many planets have to be in a house to be in stellium, some says that there have to be three and other four. The 8th House and Death

Having an 8th House stellium is like flirting with death, constantly toeing the line between life and death, but not by choice.

When I was born, I wasn’t breathing. Somewhat ironically, it took eight doctors to save me. Since then, I’ve almost died countless times: Car wrecks, illness, disease, and the most random brushes with death like shooters and so many other unforeseen dangers.

It has never been that I put myself in danger, merely that death follows me as it does everyone with this stellium.

What this has taught me is that the 8th House is not only or simply about death as an end to life or to any one thing, rather it can also represent death as a beginning. Every time I’ve almost died, I’ve seen the true symbolism of the phoenix in relation to the 8th House, that death is a transformation.

With every “death” I’ve faced, a part of me has been taken, has effectively ended, but it has led to an evolution. I’ve changed, I’ve come out better than before. I shed my skin like like the snake which Scorpio also represents to return brighter and stronger.

After my birth, and my first brush with death, I was supposed to be unable to speak or walk, and instead I did both much earlier than babies who faced less. Each time, it’s been much the same.

These deaths are not always literal, either. The death of innocence, the death of safety, the death of parts of the self, and so on.

For those of us with 8th House stellia, transformation is thrust upon us time and time again. It’s sink or swim, both beautiful and brutal, and each time we overcome the next “death” we come back something different and new.

It’s not always easy or purely positive, but these transformations, deaths, and evolutions of the mind, body, and soul are not evil, either.
