When Rek memory resets, how much does he remember? can he control how much he loses?

as for your question, he cannot control how much he loses. it's usually a full memory reset. though, most of his core personality remains the same, he just doesn't know why. there's something integral to his identity that his remaining humanity won't let go of, no matter how trivial.

he can, however, control how much he remembers (kinda). I might've mentioned it before, but he can very much remember things he's forgotten through triggers and such. he's basically just repressing memories, not truly resetting like a full robot, since he still has some human in him. i like to think he also keeps some of them on purpose, too, by using key phrases and stuff to jog his memory.

i’m not entirely sure how resets look from rek’s end yet but i’m imagining it’s like wiping a normal computer lol.
