Once you discover that every single kind of knitting can be done on circular needles and that straight and double pointed needles are scams you truly ascend to a higher plane
a fifth iteration joins the wardrobe! want to bet that i start a sixth around the same time next year? it seems to be a seasonal compulsion now.

Goal for today: finish this yoke.
Progress! I don’t think I’ll get the whole yoke done today, but it will be close, and I can finish tomorrow.
Up too late and didn’t quite finish. 5 rows left for the yoke, then colour work is done (for now) and things will go much faster. 7 days left to finish this sweater and get it blocked. I might just make it.
For the curious, I’m using the Strange Brew recipe from TinCanKnits
6 knitting days left, yoke is finished, sleeves are separated, it’s easy now until I tackle the steek. What could go wrong?

My boyfriend’s cousin had a baby earlier this year, and I just had to knit a Dahlia dress for her. I crocheted some flowers in cotton yarn to brighten it up a little, because why not! The dress is knit in Sandnes Garn Duo, a blend of cotton and merino wool.

Would you be willing to sell your pattern for the mario pillow?
Hi! Thanks for asking about this. I get this question fairly regularly, so I’ll address it here.I didn’t really -do- anything to make the pattern: I just 1:1 translated pixels from Super Mario Bros. into worsted weight yarn, and added a few stitches as a border. Therefore, I’m not comfy with charging any money for the pattern. I’d feel okay selling pillows themselves cause I put in the work, but selling something I ripped from the internet with virtually no work feels wrong. So I don’t!Â
But, here’s some cool information and resources to get you started:
1. Simply type the name of the sprite you’d like, and add the words “Sprite” and/or “Perler” after it. For example, if you search “Super Mario 1Up Mushroom perler sprite,” you’ll get images like these that you can translate directly into stitches.
2. Each stitch is a 1 to 1 ratio with a bead or pixel. 1 stitch = 1 bead/pixel. The whole thing is made of single crochet stitches.
2. To carry colours through, I use the carrying on the wrong side technique as shown here.
3. As mentioned above, I did all of this with worsted weight (size 4) yarn and a G (4mm) hook. Most of it is Red Heart Super Saver.
4. I added a 2 stitch/row border to the top and bottom in black.
5. I worked all of the smaller squares individually and the larger side in one piece.
6. I single crocheted all the pieces together in black.
7. I stuffed it with an old pillow, but you could buy a pillow form instead if you wanted to.
That’s it! That’s the whole shebang. If you have any specific questions, you can ALWAYS feel free to ask questions in my ask box. :D

I’m working on Dragon Age heraldic flags (Knitquisition!) right now, but I wanted to get at least one of my knitting projects up here…
