Maybe I'm to much of a pretentious academic but like no one knows what 'performative gender' means. I keep hearing people talk about it like it means that gender is a performance I'm the artist sense that it's the idea that gender is like fake or artificial, but that just not what the concept means. Performance in this sense is not about artifice but about speech acts the was that saying things enacts them and how gender and identity do those things, like this is part of why experiences both external and internal might be different between to people who present similarly but identify differently the speech acts the capital P Performance of gender changes things because the action of identification is a speech act that does something. Like this is an interesting and potent concept that gets undermined to mean mean act macho, and women act feminine to try and fit in I guess. Long and short performative gender is going on the fucking shelf till you all learn how to be feminists.

Regular bears tell stories of angel bears sent by the Bear God, pure white and twice as strong as any normal bear could be, who rule the summit of the Earth and kill all who stand in their path.

And they are right, those bears exist and totally do that. Humans just have fake angels as a cope.

love the idea of bears being the chosen species actually. having a near death experience and glimpsing heaven and realising it's just full of bears, no humans at all, humans not ensouled actually, humans an accidental byproduct of God's plan for bears
