Royalty!AU prompts

The Guardian - Muse A is a prince/princess and heir to the throne and Muse B is the commander of their guards. Muse A needs to leave for a long trip and Muse B needs to keep them safe during the journey. The problem is, they discover a plot against Muse A’s life. Will they manage to keep them safe? 

The Siege - The country is at war and the capitol is under siege. Muse A is the last living royal descent, Muse B is their faithful soldier. Muse B needs to get Muse A out of the city and back to their regrouping troops so they can take the country back. 

The Marriage - Muse A and B are both of royal blood and are forced to marry for the good of both of their worlds as it’s a part of peace declaration between the nations. They see each other for the first day on their wedding day. 

The Lover - Muse A is of royal blood, unhappily married with muse C. Muse B is a young and dashing knight/noble lady who serves in the court. Muse A takes liking in them, finding long forgotten happiness by their side. How far will they let the things go?

The Toy - Muse A is of royal blood, muse B is a low born. Muse A takes Muse B to court as an entertainment. 

The Power - Muse A and B are young ambitious married couple who plots to get them power. Will they succeed? How much will they sacrifice in the game of thrones?

Writing Prompt #660

Being an assassin, I had made a number of questionable decisions in my life, but hadn’t particularly thought twice about them. Well, this time was different. The further I rode off, the more I knew I was going to be made to regret kidnapping the prince instead of killing him.

“What do you think?” They teased, setting the crown upon their head and striking a pose. “Does it suit me?”

The royal was struck utterly dumb at the sight - at the sheer insolence of it, at the impossible beauty. Because oh, their crown suited the other perfectly.

The royal moved closer, one slow step and then another.

The other faltered.

The royal adjusted the crown with careful and trembling fingers. Swallowed. “Don’t ever let anyone but me see you like this.” Too insolent, too beautiful - and entirely theirs.

“I think you need to taste this for me,” the monarch said. They shoved the exquisite cake in their guard’s direction.

Their guard blinked. “Um.” 

“What, you’d rather your monarch be poisoned?”

Of course not. The guard hesitantly took a mouthful, only to practically melt in satisfaction. “Oh my god.” It was amazing. They caught themselves. “I - er - I think it’s fine.” 

“You should try a sip of the wine too,” the monarch said. “Just to be safe. Sit, sit.” 

It took the guard slightly too long to realize that it was practically a date, with the monarch feeding them delicacies off their plate.

some fun & fresh vampire x werewolf au ideas ‘cause why not !

muse a is a vampire that has been alive for many, many centuries–and after living up their more youthful decades through debauchery and bloodshed, they’ve decided to take a breather and ‘adult up’ – which is when they meet muse b, a strong-willed and ambitious werewolf trying to keep their pack together. muse b is protective of their pack, so when they meet muse a, they’re ready to fight off this bloodthirsty leach–but wait. muse a is tired of fighting and is interested in learning more about muse b’s lifestyle.

muse a & b have been friends since they were children – but they’ve gone their separate ways during college. during that time apart, muse a and b were attacked by a vampire and werewolf respectively, undergoing a transformation they never expected. they kept it a secret from each other, hoping that this doesn’t change their friendship–until they meet up over summer and… holy fucking shit why do you SMELL like that??

muse a is the heir to a prestigious vampire coven. muse b is a scrappy werewolf that defeated the leader of a rather brutal pack and is now the leader. vampires and werewolves have been at war for centuries, but it’s time for a truce… and as the lead wolf of the pack, muse b knows they have no choice but to take muse a’s hand in a political marriage. too bad muse a thinks muse b is nothing more than a savage mutt and muse b sees a as a spoiled, undead brat.

muse a was a bright-eyed and inquisitive werewolf trying to order a drink. muse b was a schmoozy, sleazy, smooth-talking vampire at a bar. can i make it anymore obvious?

throughout the centuries, muse a–an old but romantic vampire–spent their time hunting for love. in the 1800s, they found their match. a beautiful, stronghearted mortal with whom muse a spent many years with until their lover tragically passed away. centuries later, muse a’s waltzing about the modern world and hovering around a local starbucks when–could that be? their past lover…? or is it just muse b, a werewolf that looks painfully similar to muse a’s late lover?

muse a is a werewolf that fell in love with the wrong kind of person. rather than finding a werewolf partner that matches them in intensity and passion, they fell for muse b–a stoic, distant vampire that they’ve crossed paths with before. it’s not meant to work out… but why does muse b always happen to be in the forest when muse a is?

And the mechanic always brings up how nervous they were to ask them out

People settling down with those they think are The One, but never being sure

Organic relationships where both people are tentative until the day where they hear those words from the other and it’s too late

People having a happy life with their significant other who they believe is their soulmate until someone greets them with the words inked on their wrist. They make the conscious choice to walk away and ignore their destined partner

People who have generic phrases like “see you soon” or “i love you” living their lives in fear and cherishing every moment they have with their significant other

People not realizing their partner just said Those Words until it’s too late and they’re running out the door. Sometimes it’s just a false alarm, but sometimes they’re already gone

People whose significant other leaves them but not with Those Words so they spend the rest of their life hoping they’ll come back

Conversely, people whose significant other passes away but without saying Those Words so they know have another person they can look forward to in their life

Some people choose to hide their tattoo from their significant other so they don’t have to be scared

Tattoo artists always helping people who want to cover up their tattoos after they’ve heard The Words and lost their soulmate

But until The Words are said, they can’t be removed or covered up with another tattoo. When someone tries to cover it up, the new ink around it just fades within a couple of days.
