Last drawing of the year of my ocs I was finally able to get done. I managed to redesign Astra and Tulip a bit since the last time just so they’re easier for me to draw 😂

Yunmeng Shuangjie shadowbox!! It may be Sad Times for Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng, but they look so pretty when they’re dressed in beautiful patterns and thinking angsty thoughts. :D

I really enjoyed making the shuangjie last year, so for this year’s holiday sale I knew I had to make them again! I paid extra attention to the lighting and layering, and I’m really happy with how they all come together to look like the (craft pearl!) core is faintly glowing.

This artwork will be available in my upcoming holiday sale, lovelies!

Yu-Gi-Oh! manga creator Kazuki Takahashi (real name Kazuo Takahashi) has passed away at age 60 due to an apparent diving accident.

The Coast Guard reportedly found Takahashi equipped with snorkeling gear. Both the Coast Guard and police are currently investigating the events that led up to Takahashi’s death. A person on a passing boat had called Japan’s maritime hotline to report an apparent body, floating 300 meters (about 1,000 feet) from the coast off the resort city of Nago, at about 10:30 a.m. on July 6, 2022.

Takahashi’s Yu-Gi-Oh! manga launched an international hit franchise that continues to this day with card games, anime, toys, and newer manga series. Takahashi won Comic-Con International’s Inkpot Award in July 2015. The award recognizes individuals for outstanding contributions to comics, science fiction and fantasy, film, television, animation, and fandom.

Also in the works! I’m drawing up genshin characters in this chibi style and making them into stickers. These are the current four that I have drawn up right now. I will be drawing more later today.

For the last day of MerMay, please enjoy this papercraft commission of mer!Jiang Cheng! What a fun commission :D

Before starting on the piece, I thought I might stick to a single fish as inspiration to make things more realistic. But then I figured WHAT is the point of making a mer-version of my favorite little fictional man if not SELF-INDULGENCE? So then I went whole hog (whole hogfish?): BEAUTIFUL betta fish tailfin! Dorsal fin like an EEL except not really! The blue shimmer-paper scales are BIOLUMINESCENT! His long trailing fins can ELECTROCUTE his prey! His tears turn to PEARLS, which he then uses to ACCESSORIZE!!! It’s a fancy and biologically nonsensical life for mer!Cheng.
