WE LIVE IN A "INDIA"?

We live in a INDIA where women's are worshiped at days,

But get gang raped at night!

We live in a India where a rapist or criminal can go to temple but a bleeding women can't!

We live in a India where women's are "allowed" to work but still be expected to do all the household!

We live in a India where we proud to be landed on moon but why still be ashamed of menstruation!

We live in a India where a women is "allowed" to study but still be expected to get married by 22!

We live in a India where we say daughter's and son's are equal but why still doctors hide the gender till the birth?

We live in a India where a father gives his life income in dowry but why not on her education?

We live in a India where we talk about all the equality but why no one talks about the unequality of only women leaving her home?

We live in a India where sons are asked for their graduation/ income but why daughter's are asked for what can they cook?

We live in a India where men's can urinate in public but why women still be questioned on a skirt?

We live in a India where a good women goes to heaven but the bad one goes anywhere she wants!

And Yes, sometimes I'm not proud to say I live in India!.

मेरा घर

मैंने भी एक सपना देखा है, सपनों में अपना घर देखा है।

वो कोना, जहाँ सब कुछ मेरा हो, हर दीवार पर जैसे केवल मेरा बसेरा हो।

जहाँ मेरी हँसी की खिलखिलाहट गूंजे, और हर कोना मेरे प्यार से ज्योंते।

ना किसी की रोक-टोक हो, और ना ही घर से भाग जाने का कोई बहाना हो।

जहा मुझे, बस अपने सपनों का घर बसाना हो।

I often say I don't need men to define my life, I really don't but I love how, even in the chaos of a crowd, they instinctively place a protective hand on the side of the women they cherish. I love how they carry burdens silently, and how they go out of their way to make life easier for others. They're the ones who fix what's broken without being asked, who notice when you're tired and quietly take over the harder tasks, and who bring unexpected kindness in the form of a cup of tea, a warm blanket, or a reassuring word. Even in their busiest mornings, they find time to serve breakfast, to check if you've eaten, to give without expecting, and to love without limits. They make countless small efforts without hesitation or regret and only ever ask for love in return.

It made me realize that my life is mine alone to define,—but even so, I need him, not to shape my existence, but to make me feel deeply, undeniably loved.

Serious issue to talk about

While teaching my brother EVS, I came across the first chapter, which was about families. The chapter discussed family members like mother, father, and grandmother, along with their roles and responsibilities. According to the text, it stated that the father works to earn money while the mother cooks and takes care of the family.

Now, you might wonder, "So what?" Here's why it stood out: one of the questions in the chapter asked, "What is the work of a mother?" Based on the textbook and teacher's guidance, the answer was that a mother’s job is to cook and care for the family.

Is this not an example of how children are subtly influenced and conditioned from a very young age? Such language perpetuates the notion that a woman’s role is confined to domestic responsibilities. This messaging, ingrained in us since nursery, has the potential to shape mindsets and reinforce stereotypes.

Some might dismiss this as overthinking, but it is, in fact, a critical issue that needs attention. The portrayal of gender roles in educational materials has a profound impact on how children perceive their place in society. It’s a conversation worth having and an area where change is urgently needed.
