i'm Lisa, i love sims, cats and poetry, and… i genuinely have no idea what i'm doing, haha. going to be honest straight away, i've mostly been a lurker on here, giving out reblogs and likes and the occasional comment so i've never actually made a 'proper' post like this. (my main blog is @poeticallydifferent in case you recognize that username to have given you a lil like here and there.) but recently i started dabbling in defaulting and thought i might as well post my defaults so i can at least contribute something to this wonderful community. i do hope to branch out in the future and make other stuff than just defaults, but i think i need to learn how to crawl before i start running, haha. anyhow, a warm welcome to my lil sims 2 corner and thank you for stopping by! ₊˚⊹˙⟡♡

that’s very strange, i can get onto my tumblr site just fine on desktop, i even tried different browsers. the only thing i could think of is possibly your antivirus blocking my page. i know my antivirus falsely flags some tumblrs with custom themes as ”potentially dangerous” so maybe it’s that? (as i do indeed have a custom theme on my blog) otherwise i don’t have a clue why it’s being weird for you :(

is anyone else having problems accessing my tumblr when on desktop?

hey anon, @yakumtsaki kindly informed me that getting redirected to random links is a recent issue with some custom themes. luckily it’s super easy to fix, one deleted line of code later and my tumblr page should now work as intended on desktop again ^_^

➤ afbodymaildelivery and ambodymaildelivery replaced with @flowermisty's 3t2 Mail Carrier Outfits with boots (as shown on the female model), reuploaded by @equinoxts2 here, as well as @deedee-sims' shoeswapped version with sneakers (as shown on the male model).

i didn’t change any categories so the outfits are set as everyday only and are hidden in CAS unless debug mode is on (like the original maxis outfits). you can pick and choose if you want AF, AM or AU and between blue and beige versions for both shoe options (boots/sneakers).

so a few months ago i came across a post where someone was asking for a reupload of these outfits and when i saw that i immediately went to check the default database because i thought surely there must be a default of these already at least? but alas, it truly seems like this conversion was lost for a really long time so no one ever made a default. i actually really like these mail outfits & i'm very happy they've been reuploaded so i could finally make a replacement out of them. well two replacements, since i waited for the outfits to also get some shiny new shoes before posting, courtesy of @deedee-sims, as i knew she had a shoeswap in her wip's that i wanted to include as well!

as usual, everything should have appropriate morphs & shoe sounds and all files are also compressed. swatches/preview pics are included in the download for convenience.

i initially made these to match my replacement for the toddler versions of the sewingmachine outfits, but in case people are getting tired of the stereotypically pink and blue color scheme i also made a second version of each default with alternative colors. remember to pick only one! and these techically show up as custom in the vanilla game but i've pinned them to the Freetime EP since that's the EP they came with.

i got a request/suggestion to make a plantsim default out of @megamassikalove's new toddler outfit to match the vibes of my other recently posted plantsim/leafyclothing defaults. before i had finished the toddler default Massika also posted a 4t2 conversion of the beautiful fairy/nature inspired dress for lil girls and i thought it'd make the perfect replacement for the Maxis fairy ballerina outfits! (and also match the ts4 enchanted by nature conversions theme i seem to have going on right now, hehe.)

how pretty are these dresses?! @simsrenalp96 recently posted the fairy dress with a plantsim wearing it in the preview pic, and i thought it definitely needed to be made into 'official' plantsim clothes too! i've also had this floral dress by @deedee-sims in my game for awhile, and i think it makes for a lovely nature hobby instructor replacement. (+ works perfectly fine as a casual outfit as well)

as usual, everything should have appropriate morphs & shoe sounds and all files are also compressed. just note that the heels version of the plantsim dress doesn't have morphs at this point in time, but if the mesh gets updated in the future i'll make sure to also update the defaults!

Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes

The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve. 

Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.

If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.

Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.

This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!

Let's talk about reblog notes.

We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise. 

First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.

We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.

In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that,  including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.

sorry if this is an incredibly stupid question, but where do you get those little thumbnails of the maxis defaults? they look bigger than bodyshop thumbnails, are they taken in game?

not a stupid question at all! i didn’t know where to get the thumbnails from either when i first started my blog, i had another creator kindly tell me how they did it so i’m just following in their tracks!

and you’re absolutely correct, i take a screenshot of the outfit thumbnails in CAS and then crop everything else out (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)

i never thought i’d say this but… I SUCCESSFULLY MADE MY FIRST FULLBODY MASHUP!!!😭 i’ve been wanting to learn for THE longest time since i rely a lot on fullbody outfits (i don’t use the separates4all mod) and i’ve always felt that the fullbody options were lacking for many age groups.

and the defaults… imagine all the new defaults i will be able to make!! (in due time lol)
