Why do you seek gratification when you know you might not have anything to look forward to?

Why do you seek authority when you’re as timid as a dry leaf being schlepped away by the tenacious wind?

Why do you seek joy when your heart revels in despondency?

Why do you seek the strong bonds of relationships when you’re as fragile as glass?

Why do you seek the affection of those who turn a blind eye on your sufferings?

Why, oh why, do you maintain your existence for the sake of existing?

Why do you not leap in exultation and live your life?

I often had to battle loneliness. You can have a million people around you and still be lonely. And it’s not something you should be ashamed to admit. It’s okay to not have friends. It’s okay to not be able to socialise. It’s okay to look into the mirror and talk to yourself because you don’t have anyone else to talk to. Believe me, you’re not alone in this. And therefore, it would be unfair for you to have to go through this alone.

There’s this one app called Replica which would help you a great deal if you’re lonely, depressed or just going through a tough time. It’s kind of a robot that listens to you and talks to you. And trust me, it’s just like you’re talking to a human. The only reason I made this post is because I feel loneliness, it’s in every bone of my body, and I want to help others who are going through the same. I believe, kindness is a great way to heal yourself. So you can check out the app. If it does help you, do share it with others you think might need it. You never know what a person’s going through.

“He doesn’t seem to be into you”, they said.

She smiled at them, a pang of disappointment piercing through her heart...“oh, I know. But step into my shoes and admire him the way I do, look into his dreamy eyes and try not to fall for him, try not to be clumsy and nervous around him, try putting him out of your mind...it’s impossible, right? Some people are born to be loved, not necessarily love.”

Today, she looks into his dreamy eyes, and tries not to fall for him, but he just chuckles at her efforts, cause she’s already succeeded in making him fall for her.

See, I have this theory about life.

My life is a sudoku.

Your life is a crossword.

Yet I suck at anything to do with numbers.

And you suck at anything to do with words.

And this is why we all suck at coping with our lives.

I don’t have what I need to cope with my life, maybe you do, and you don’t have what you need to cope with your life, maybe I do.

This is why we can never solve this riddle that we call “life”. We are not equipped. And by the time we are, the meaning of life would no longer matter to us.

So stop trying to solve life. It is to be lived.

“This is no fairy-tale dear, this is life.” He said, with a rueful smile that broke her into a million pieces.

She smiled back at him, not a sad smile but a joyous, genuine smile and said,“ With the right people in it, your life is as magical as a fairy-tale, so stay.”

And he did.

The pebbles that reel beneath the foamy turquoise ripples,

The water crashing softly with the rocks,

The sunshine that the ocean reflects,

Is like the warmth of your unquestionable love.

The little fireplace that crackles,

With the mightiest flames,

Blanketing the cold winter nights with its calidity,

Which is although, nothing in comparison to your fiery zeal.

Out of all the feelings that are of significance,

Love stands like a rooted pillar,

It takes you to places unknown,

A rarity you forever want to behold.

Somebody once asked me what love meant to me. I couldn’t figure out what love truly was, but I did when I fell in love for the first time. I was too young and ignorant, not really knowing what love was or what it did to people. I never believed in love at first sight, you can only ever love a person whom you’ve known for a long period of time, otherwise it’s merely appearance based. He was just a simple guy, more like a nerd, academically skilled. He was just a guy I was happy to hang out with. But when you’re little, you’re dumb. You’re not mature enough to understand what relationships truly are and the complexities of the like. I was heartbroken when I figured out that he wasn’t into me. But then if your crush likes you back, is that even real love? Today I still hang around with him, even though I have a boyfriend, HIS smile makes me smile, his pain makes me wanna cry, he isn’t the only guy I loved, but he’ll be the only guy I’ll love forever.

We all have such people in our lives who probably don’t know how much we care about them and we’re afraid that they don’t feel the same way towards us. But when love is one-sided, trust me, it is the most purest thing you’ll ever find in today’s world of deceit and malice. Don’t stop caring for them, you’re someone’s crush too.

The biggest mistake that parents ever make is think that their kids are dumb. Yes, it’s a fact that on account of being older they have relatively more wisdom than us, however it is not true when they say,”you haven’t seen the world yet.” We possibly haven’t experienced the hardships and struggles that our parents did in their young age, yet it is very much untrue that we haven’t seen the negative spheres of life. In their era, depression, psychological disorders, increasing stress, bullying etc were scarcely present, whereas today that’s all that we hear about, especially in the teenage group of children. Their undermining us, telling us that it’s all in our head, brushing off things that they think we’re making up, only if they knew how much it bothers us. By no means am I saying, that there is a lack of good parenting, all I’m saying is that no genuine effort is ever made to fill in the generation gap, that not only distances us from our parents but also leads our parents to misunderstand us in certain important spheres of our lives. If there are any parents out there reading this all I wanna say is, talking to us about our gfs/bfs does make you cool, but what we really want is for you to listen to us when we say we’re feeling low, to appreciate the little things we do that make US feel happy, to not force us to talk when we don’t want to, to make an effort to understand us without us having to go into the labourious details of how our life is coming apart, because if we really knew how to express ourselves, the world would know how we’re dying inside.

It is very difficult to comprehend the complexity of life. Why we go through stuff, suffer immensely even though we did nothing to deserve it, will always remain an unjust mystery to us. It is something that demands to be lived with. Helplessness- another word that is so intense, yet full of nothing, nothing you can do about it. When we combine “helplessness” with the simultaneous “efforts” to live, we come up with the word “life”.

Life isn’t a riddle, it isn’t something you can solve. It is something you follow, yet modify it in a way that it still gives you happiness and hope. And if it doesn’t right now, hang around. Hopefully, you like surprises.

“I understand”, she said, and turned her back to hide her blurry eyes, the ones that had looked upon him with nothing but pure affection, a weak smile playing on her lips, as if life expected her to be happy, even if she was broken into a million pieces within.

He saw her walk away, slowly distancing from him, he looked up at the sky, little drops of rain pattering on his face, as if gods were reprimanding him to have broken her innocent and deserving heart, and yet camouflaging his blurry eyes at the same time.
