TWILIGHT (2008) dir. Catherine Hardwicke
i've said it before but if i was reid i would end unrivaled with an explicit scene of shane topping without any discussion or explanation just to set fire to the bar behind me and then i would permanently fully retire from the public eye

Anastasia Trusova: Black Cat in the Garden
What is it about Shane that you love and were drawn to? He is hyper competent at this one thing. He’s stereotypically masculine in a lot of regards. He’s a kind person, and he’s so overtly Canadian. He’s harboring something that he thinks is a career-ending secret because he just doesn’t have the emotional maturity or societal maturity to sort of understand what his own queerness means. To him, it’s most likely detrimental, which is the wrong assumption to some degree, but it shatters his own idea of what his masculinity is, or at least it cripples it. And yet, he still never harms a fly. (via The Hollywood Reporter)

Sex and the City (1998-2004), Season One, Episode One: Sex and the City
I am the only person in this fandom who believes that Shane has a good relationship with his mom but I am never backing down. No I don’t think she treats him like a child. Yea I think she has her own life. I think they enjoy talking to each other. I think they sincerely connect on both hockey and non hockey things. I do not try think Shane blames her for anything. I think Yuna is a good mom and he both likes and loves her
Visited the pink tunnel this weekend, and while I expected it to be filled with references, it really ended up feeling like a monument of gratitude. It was kind of amazing

Re Ilya being the one obsessing about marriage I loooooove how their post Tampa dynamic is like
Shane: listen I like you and I think you like me too
Ilya: ok SO WHAT. What are we gonna do. Hold hands?? Kiss on the ice?? Get married?? Have three kids and a vacation home in the Dolomites because I know you’d love the skiing there?? Whisper to each other each night how lucky we are to have found each other? Die hand in hand like the end of the Notebook? Don’t be RIDICULOUS Hollander how could you even think about these things
Shane: I was thinking maybe starting with like you could come over?
HEATED RIVALRY GIF MEME ➤ [7/7] kisses
I mean, in some very interesting Technically Correct ways, they didn't actually die? Now, they're very much no longer alive. But the forces involved are such that they didn't get any of the usual cellular processes of death, they simply went from biology to physics in less time than it takes a signal to travel down your optic nerve.

Feminism isn't about doing whatever feels good and fuels your specific personal interests btw sometimes you do in fact have to change how you think and behave
