so tired of people thinking taboo stuff in fiction equals taboo stuff in real life and “you’re a bad person if you write about it or enjoy it”. not to mention how harmful it is to reduce the severity of these things in real life by watering them down to dark fiction, my dude, humans have always enjoyed fiction that is taboo. otherwise there would be no horror movies or slasher movies or movies about wars and murders or any kind of media that wasn’t rainbow and sunshine.
just because you are personally uncomfortable with taboo stuff in fiction doesn’t mean your personal feelings are universal and it certainly doesn’t mean you get a free pass to harass others.
I’ve been into non-con fantasy ever since I was younger than 10 years old! I love reading and writing non-con fics, and I’ve been reading and writing them for almost a decade now. and guess what, I will never condone it in real life. nobody in real life is ever affected by the fictional things I enjoy, because it’s fiction and I am mature enough to separate it from reality. actually, even when I was younger than 10, I always knew that this thing I enjoyed was bad in real life. if a seven year old me could separate fiction from reality, you as an adult should be able to do it too — unless you’re deeply troubled, and in that case you need professional help.
no, you’re not morally better than anyone just because you don’t enjoy certain topics in fiction. you’re a bully if you think you can harass real people over fiction.
put your anger and energy on people who harm others in real life, instead of harassing innocent people for having thoughtcrimes.
Dw, he doesn't bite, unless provoked (he is always provoked)
Didn't you retweet incest porn on 9/11?
we all mourn in different ways
There is something that tickles me about a parental yandere f/o obsessing over their child s/I
and then he came back. no one was waiting for him but he did. asshole
The mystery is solved
Feeling indebted to the NINAH community for reviving my artistic passion with this stupid fucking freak so I guess lll give yall a crumb of my Pale Visitor art
Have you ever noticed how straight woman tend to romanticize yaoi, and completely ignore yuri? Yuri is literally so underrepresented in fandoms and as a lesbian it kills me.
Also the obsession straight woman have with gay men is lowkey weird, reminds me of straight men wanting to 'turn lesbiand straight.'
then YOU write more yuri. I never say “yuri is bad”. all I say is that I enjoy yaoi, and therefore I read, write and talk about yaoi on my own blog.
if you like yuri, then YOU read, write and talk about yuri. nobody is stopping you.
I am a cis woman, and I am obsessed with my mlm ship — because that’s my passion and my source of comfort. I write because I love my mlm ship, and because these fictional men make me happy (and no, I don’t want them straight, I want them gay and in love with each other). I am not going to apologize for doing whatever makes ME happy for myself and my own enjoyment. I am not here for a stranger’s approval. sorry if you find it weird I guess? I literally don’t know who you are, and a stranger’s opinion is not something I care about. especially when they come into MY house and start telling me what I should or should not do and enjoy.
I’ll continue reading, writing, enjoying and talking about yoai. and you can’t stop me.
again, fanfiction is not an act of activism. do whatever makes you happy, whatever turns you on, instead of trying to shame others for enjoying the thing they enjoy instead of the thing you enjoy.
don’t want to lose
I don't know who needs to hear this, but the proship code extends to more than fanfiction. you can explore dark, taboo topics in your own stories about your own characters. As someone who doesn't write fanfiction and only focuses on its own creations, I have mostly seen the proship discourse has been on fanfiction and censorship - I just wanted to remind y'all that anything is fine as long as it's fictional, even your own creations
If you remember being a teenager you're a creep because you straight up saw yourself naked back then. The only way to be righteous is to obliterate your mind with drugs until you can't remember anything
