It’s a Rusev Day miracle!
Marvel Comics #1 (Wizard Ace Edition) by Glenn Fabry.
I remember seeing the ad for this and being freaked out by Fabry’s Human Torch. Recently bought it and was even more freaked out by his Sub-Mariner under the acetate cover.

I looked at various versions and revisions of Stephen King’s personal web site over at my personal blog! Thanks to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, I was able to take a close look at various moments in the Master of Horror’s digital tenure. Lots of information on The Plant, his 2000-era “epistolary novel” (about a plant that kills people!), which King made available for sale and download on his site. He ended up not finishing it, but he made a decent amount of money off this publishing experiment ($500K!) and it’s an interesting moment in the long histories of e-books and e-commerce.
Anyway, there’s lots more at this link! I’ve decided to look back at supernatural/horror/spooky/occult/goth web sites this October in a series I’m calling Haunted Home Pages. I work with digital archives, internet histories, and similar stuff at my day job as an academic at Brown University, so I figured this would be a fun extension of those interests into pop culture / web culture contexts. If you like what you read here, check back for more entries this month!
