Guess who developed an abscess at the surgery site! For a second I thought it was a hernia (bad, risky, worth calling the vet), but it had already burst, and that abscess smell is impossible to mistake for anything else.
Thankfully he had an abscess when I got him, so I already have saline, antibacterial spray, and fucidin salve. I couldn't express all the puss from the abscess in one go, because it was too painful for him, so I'll probably keep treating this for a week or two, just to be safe.
And thankfully for Nimbus, I had a bit of iceberg left over, which is a rare treat for these guys. It's basically just candy for them, not part of their regular diet. But it made the whole ordeal a bit more tolerable for Nimbus.
