Just when she thought it couldn’t get anymore surprising, she was proven wrong. Then again, whenever he was involved, she supposed that she should always count on the unexpected. However, it was strange because of one thing so while she turned, surprised look on her face, then smiling at recognition, suddenly shock was her expression, and then a neutral and concerned look.

Hina immediately walked over to him and looked him in the eyes.

"Ankh! Did you take my brother’s body again?" Lovely reunion.

Ankh grimaced as he heard the familiar voice, one would think that being thrown into a different world would they escape the troubles of the old one, but that just wasn't the case now was it? With both Eiji and Hina here, the bird greeed found that what ever freedom he once had when he first came quickly vanishing. Clicking his tongue, he turned to the woman.

At Hina's remarks, Ankh revealed his Greeed arm, saying, in that same condescending tone he always had, "I never bothered checking. Why don't we check now?"

And with that he released himself from the person's body, peering down at the just fallen person. And lo and behold, it was indeed Hina's brother.

"Well. Would you look at that."

" O-Oi, Ankh! I had plans on eating that! I just wasn’t feeling it at the moment! " Jeez.. what was with Ankh at times? It was bad enough that Eiji had paid for that with his own money, but as per usual, the bird Greeed had decided to mooch off him like this. Only this time, it was flat out stealing. There were just times where Eiji thought that maybe his obsession with ic—ANKH?!

Double-taking for a second as to the blond individual who had taken his ice candy, Eiji would have to step back for a moment, looking at the all too familiar face. His hand instinctively reached for the broken Taka medal in his pocket.. and.. it was still cracked in half.. then..

" W-Wait a second.. are.. are you Ankh from the future..? But, I have the medals with me this time.. I mean, a few of them.. but— "

"Huh? Wasn’t feeling it? It was practically melting in your hand!" The bird greeed chirped back at the bewildered man. It looked almost as if Eiji had seen a ghost. Well, The rider wouldn’t be wrong. Not even Ankh himself knew why he even existed.

"What? The future? What are you, crazy Eiji? Did your idiocy escalate to the point you’ve finally become delusional?" the greeed scoffed at him, pointing the stick of the finished ice candy at Eiji. He lifted the stick away, upon hearing Eiji had core medals with him. It was his turn to be bewildered.

"You have Core Medals? But they should be..." He fell into a silence.

" One ice candy, please! "

The voice of a young child would echo out to Eiji’s ears, asking for a familiar icey treat. Ice candy.. the sight of it made Eiji feel a bit nostalgic. While in truth he hadn’t had one for some time.. he knew of someone else who hadn’t had one. Just seeing the young children eat away at such a treat made him feel.. well.. not hungry. But wanting to fill something. Walking toward the vendor, he’d hand him some of his spare change.

" One ice, please. Thank you. " Taking it in hand, Eiji would sit down somewhere nearby, looking down at the treat on a stick.

Oddly enough, he didn’t feel like eating it. Just holding it in his hand seemed enough. Just seeing and feeling the chill it gave off was more than enough for him. At least for the time being.

There was no mistake. Sitting by the ice candy stand the greeed had gotten used to frequenting as of late, was no other than Hino Eiji. While the greeed was shocked to find him here, Ankh's eyes fell straight to the ice candy in the man's hand. His pace picked up-- passing the stand in its entirety to find himself standing right in front of Eiji.

"Oi, Eiji," without even thinking the greeed let out the same line he always had when greeting the man before him. "What are you doing buying yourself an ice and not eating it?" As he said this, Ankh grabbed it out of Eiji's hand, gingerly eating the refreshing snack.

The greeed that didn't know anything of the city he had found himself placed in soon found himself strolling straight into a library. Even though he had the detective's body, he was with out the electronics that the detective so loved. Browsing through the sea of books, the blonde searched for anything that seemed to be useful in learning where he was.

Before he knew it, Ankh had reached the end of the many bookshelves and into an area of the library that offered people a place to sit and read. Scanning the area, he found someone burying themselves in a large amount of books.

"That seemingly unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Hah, a fitting desire for a Yami...." Ankh murmured to himself as he approached the boy from behind, he changed his arm from its usual hidden state to that of his Greeed form. Letting a single cell medal out from within, he gripped it tight. Throwing it towards the back of the teen, no slot appeared that would take the medal and become a yami.

The greed stood dumbfounded, for a few moments, almost unable to process what had just occurred.

He was sitting in a tree. There was no doubt about that. The visage of a man clad in red climbing up a tree? Hilarious. For the greeed himself, not so much so. To think he was far weaker than before! Though why he was in possession of a human's body or why he even existed at all was all a very curious matter, it did not stop the blonde from going about his usual business. And that included sitting upon high places, while looking down on the passing humans.

It seemed that no matter where the greeed found himself, humans would continue being humans-- bound to all their desires, all their greed. Growing tired of sitting on the tree, he hopped off, stopping those who were passing by. Turning to the nearest of those that stopped, he pointed and with a demanding voice he inquired,

"You. Where do they sell popsicles here?" It was as if the greeed didn't even consider that they maybe didn't exist. That would be impossible.
