Marx plastic Frankenstein
It’s alive!
Another Marx figure! This time it’s the Frankenstein monster! This was also made in the 60′s in brightly colored plastic, but you can’t really appreciate the details of the sculpture as it is, so i decided to paint it!
I’ve been purposely letting him sit around collecting dust, it gives an awesome effect!
There’s a whole bunch of universal monsters that were made by Marx
Nutty Mads part 2
Here is an original 60′s Marx specimen aptly named The Thinker, from when i was a little kid!
And here’s another unlicensed cast that i painted!
This one is Freddy Flameout, actually a Weird-Ohs figure!
Nutty Mads
Remember Nutty Mads? These were plastic figures made by the Marx company in the early sixties. These insane characters were designed by Mad magazine artist Jack Davis. You can read more about them in wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nutty_Mads
The original figures came casted in single color plastic, in lots of crazy colors. Not so long ago i noticed in a local store someone had made new and unlicensed castings of a lot of these models, so i had to buy some! they all came in silver plastic and looked kinda weird (not the cool weird way) so i decided to paint a few!
Take a look!

Don’t miss out on this one!
SOLD MODELS!
So here’s a little update on some of the models we’ve sold these past few days to some real cool customer in California!
