I think the last 50 or so years of american politics and culture has really been about pushing the narrative that you should be assuming you are the most correct and most best person to have a perspective on the topic at hand because you are the person in charge or on committee. we're seeing that come to full force from top to bottom in every facet of our lives. with the presidency all the way down to local water rights committees. from trading card games to movie script writing. everyone who is in a position of power is also in a position to dismiss everyone else. otherwise why even be in power. it's forum moderation for the masses and buddy they are power tripping big time.
