AAAAAAAAaaaa! Today I’m launching something I’ve been working on for a while: a little comic by the name of Big Empty Blue! It’s the first chapter in the story of Quill and Sophia, two friends exploring this vast ocean world known as The Blue. Part 11 of my Pillars of Eternity weaving project!

It is done. The queen has risen to her throne and my job is complete! Certainly not because of her though, she tried to screw me over at every turn. I know it doesn't look like a lot, especially in comparison to other ones I did, but I assure you it was hell. I think I had to open up more places on this thing alone than on the others combined.

Naturally I had to change the design a bit, since I really didn't have the space for it all, but I think it worked pretty well. Looking at it now I probably could have made the left piece a bit shorter but it's fine. It's also a little bit wonky, but that was totally, absolutely, undoubtedly on purpose to make the crown look more damaged and dented. Trust me, I totally knew what I was doing, and it's not at all because I pulled with inconsistent strength. Nope. Absolutely intentionally.

The colouring was originally supposed to be switched so the crown was this golden yellow, but the Eothas symbol already had a yellow centre and I didn't want to reuse that. Also, that brown is actually pretty close to her skin colour and the yellow is the colour of her robes, so it fits pretty well I think.

Woedica the old crone also got a last jab in and when I tied it all off I noticed two mistakes, so I had to cut that open again to fix it. Needless to say I will strangle her in a back alley with my bare hands. But nonetheless, I succeeded!

Today it has been exactly half a year since I posted the first part of this project, the Eothas symbol. When I did that, I did honestly not expect to really finish all of the god symbols. I have to say, I am extremely proud of myself. I won't talk too much about it on this post, but I will make a summary post with new pictures of all the symbols and links to the original posts, where I will also recap this project a bit. For now, thank you so much to @porokelle for being a wonderful soundboard over all these months and keeping my motivation high for this! I'm not sure I would have been able to finish without you.

I will make the last post once I am home again, and perhaps I will have a small surprise announcement then.^^ For now though I have a late birthday gift to make.👀

The Gods of Eora Family Sitcom

Berath is the tired of everyone’s shit mom, who already gave up on actually raising anyone but she will not take anyone’s shit in her own home. 

Woedica is the racist wine aunt nobody likes who just comes around every once in a while to complain about how everyone is mean to her. 

Skaen is her abused husband who can’t leave her because she owns all the money but probably plans to murder her soon. Nobody likes him either.

Galawain is the kid with the bulldog who thinks he’s Aragorn because he caught a squirrel once and has been insufferable about it ever since. Decent with a bow though.

Magran is his twin sister who takes everything too serious. She is dead set on joining the military and is of the strict opinion that fun is for losers. She wins every sports tournament but then throws the trophies out becasue “it’s not about the reward but the challenge.”

Eothas is the rebellious teenager who just discovered socialism and is now trying to better the world all on his own because clearly the adults can’t be trusted. He’s also the one who keeps bringing home strays and tries to keep them in secret, causing mayhem in the process.

Abydon is the adult cousin who moved out because he’s the only sane one of the family. He still comes by from time to time but keeps out of the drama as much as possible. He only gets pulled into it because he’s still on good terms with Magran who helped him out once.

Ondra is the cousin from the other side of the family who keeps pining after Abydon in the sort of tortured artist style. She makes melodramatic pictures for instagram all day and gets cranky when her tits don’t get attention but then complains about the materialistic society.

Wael is the family’s toddler and the only who can actually take care of themselves. They don’t involve themselves in already existing drama and instead just start a new one when they’re bored and then laugh their ass off about it.

Hylea is the other kinda mom. She wants to be the mom, but doesn’t actually do anything about it. She writes confusing poems about motherhood and birds all the time that nobody gets. She acts all serene and calm but in secret she’s really into metal.

Rymrgand is the nihilist neighbour that keeps showing up to tell everyone how dumb they are for doing what they do, but never offers any advice on what to differently. They repeatedly kick him out and try keep it so, but somehow he keeps getting in.

Part 9 of Pillars of Eternity weaving project!

From the pe*is to the hammers. This was a long, horribly infuriating battle. I know I complained a lot about Hylea, and she was a bitch, but Abydon was a very different bitch. With Hylea I really didn't know at all how I was supposed to it, with Abydon I did know, but he kept fcking with the fabric of reality to fck me over.

I swear, I counted the lines like 20 times and it still ended up off. It's infuriating. The symbol is so easy, and somehow it was still super hard! Even the wool rebelled! The orange is thinner than the grey which made the background spotty!

But! But. I have succeeded. I thank everyone who sent helpful moons my way to batter Abydon into submission. I understand Ondra now.

XAN OF EVERESKA in HEROES OF BALDUR’S GATE

Xan is an elven wizard who specializes in the school of enchantment. He is also a member of the Greycloaks of Evereska, a group that serves as investigators and law enforcers of the secretive elven city-state. Although justice and order are important to him, Xan’s perpetually apathetic demeanor and pessimistic attitude would suggest otherwise. Xan holds a great amount of respect for most other arcane spellcasters, especially those who use their powers for good— though he remains skeptical of the effectiveness of such efforts.
