I love them so much. Super super grateful that I got to hang out with the wonderful giphy family for 2 weeks this summer!! Pozdrowienia, Captain! Masz rację ż jestem Polką, ale urodziłam się tutaj w Stanach.. Moi rodzice przyjechali w 80-tych latach. Ja byłam w Polsce kilka razy, ale nie wystarczająco. Tutaj są a few photos from my most recent trip! 

I wanted to include maybe one photo for fun, and then ended up with like 20, somehow narrowed it down to what I have here, and then realized it doesn’t really fit in with my whole illustration theme for this blog.. but wanted to share it anyway.Na razie!

What do you use on cards or traditional work? c:

Hi! I use gouache, which is essentially opaque watercolor. They’re really wonderful to work with because you can always re-wet them on the palette once they dry up (which is awesome if you work super slow like I do) and have a nice clean, matte look to them afterwards. It does take some practice to become acquainted with them though, dark colors dry lighter while light colors dry darker, which can be confusing at first! Oh yea and I use synthetic hair brushes, really really tiny ones, because I tend to paint really small. Oh oh and also I like to paint on any acid-free hot pressed paper. Anything that doesn’t have a lot of tooth to it. I made the mistake of using non acid-free paper a few years ago on basically all my work and now they’re all slowly but surely turning yellow.. don’t do that!
