I don't know how i thought about this but i’ve noticed when i rewatch tfrb how like parental(?) Cody acts to the bots. Like in one episode in Season 1 about the bell(i think) Cody reads to the bots and when he has to stop, the bots ,even heatwave, ask for Cody to read more and it’s just reminds me on how kids act with a parent. We also have when Cody puts a movie on, all the bots want a different one and heatwave doesn’t like what the movie is about but when Cody says ‘it has weapons and violence’ Heatwave immediately wants to watch it which also again is similar to compromising with a moody kid. I see this more often with Heatwave and Blurr especially though, for example when Blurr is first introduced to tfrb, Cody is very understanding to him even after Blurr almost accidentally killed him but that isn’t my main focus when the bots and humans are playing burns ball, Blurr isn’t playing he’s just standing there and Cody and he have a talk and Cody says to Blurr ‘when the time comes, i know you’ll do the right thing’ which is such a sweet thing to say and i know i’ve said this a lot it’s like what an adult says to a misunderstood child. I don’t know how many people will understand this alignment but Cody and Bluur remind me of Shinobu and Inosuke due to their similar nature, Cody and Shinobu are both understanding and kind to those they love and would do anything to protect them and Blurr and Inosuke are impatient, headstrong and not willing to work with others from the start. I don’t know how many people will agree with me on this but i just needed to get this off my chest.

now i’m not a avid Hh fan but idk if anyone else got this thought but we know Sir Pentious in his backstory saw most likely jack the ripper kill a woman and didn’t say anything. He prioritised himself over others when he was human so when he died he when to hell, and as he spends time with Charlie and the others when the exorcism came to hell he put himself in danger to save others but ‘died’ and then was redeemed. So i think if you go against on what sent you to hell you get redeemed like with Pentious as a human he put himself over others and when he was a demon he put others over himself which is what got him redeemed. I hoped i explained this nicely.

Cody Burns character analysis

I think that Cody might be some what of an invisible child we know in the first episode of the series when mr Prescott told Cody ‘can you move I wanna photo of the burns family of hero’s.’ this obviously pushed a though inside of Cody’s head that he wasn’t a hero this meant that he wasn’t part of the family and nearing the end of the episode when Charlie said ‘I wanna get a picture of my hero’s.’ Cody literally walks out of the frame even though he helped significantly by alerting his family of the issue and even learning what the dinosaur was attracted to. Also one of the symptoms of being an invisible child is wanting to be seen and hear which is what Cody often does, he always wants to help his family in a way and he does because he wants to be seen and hear. The second symptom of being an invisible child is wanting to please which links in to wanting to be seen and hear Cody does what his siblings and dad wants him to do so he can please them and help. Another symptom is taking on adult responsibilities as a child which is what Cody does he basically works as a 911 operator and a com link he tells his family what’s going on, it is also shown that Cody acts older than he is yes he still acts like a child but he often acts like an adult most of the time another thing I want to mention is how Cody is something neglected of personal time with his dad in episode 16 he was excited to play catch with his dad which he was telling his siblings until mr Prescott got into an emergency on tv this caused his family to go out and help mr Prescott which Cody also helps with when Charlie gets back home Cody is seen playing catch by himself sitting alone outside with a gloomy face by hitting the ball on the wall and even tells his dad that it was okay when Charlie apologised for not having a good game of catch and I also what to mention that Cody even says that Kade,Dani, and Graham get to spend time with his dad with emergencies. So when Charlie offers to bring Cody on his security assignment Cody immediately brightens up before looking disappointed again and asking ‘will everyone else be there’ this shows that Cody never really expects to have alone time with his dad so when Charlie said ‘nope just us two we could make a night of it’ Cody immediately looks happy again. Some of these examples could show and explain why Cody is the way he is. It’s clear that Kade, Dani, Graham and chief burns don’t mean to do this but because of their job it’s hard not to, this is just my reasoning of why Cody might be a invisible child and I might make another part of this.
