I think what made Steven Universe so special to me is how it made me feel. I'm positive that there are several of cartoons that have more quality than SU, but I've never had a work of fiction make me feel as happy when watching. Aside from the intriguing characters and world building, SU radiates such a unique positivity in a way that no show has ever done before. It just feels so good to watch our gems and their journey, even if it's not perfect.

#side note: I in no way intend on invalidating critics! I was thinking about su today and thought I'd share some thoughts #su positivity

I think it's awesome when I find mom swap AUs with an artist's own OCs filling in the roles of the Crystal Gems. Especially when even Steven is an entirely different gem/character. You go! Draw your OCs! The show may be over but the creativity in this fandom will thrive for a very long time.

When I first came upon this show when it first came out, I didn’t know what to expect but I knew that I would enjoy it. And I did. It was truly a unforgettable and amazing adventure these wonderful characters had and myself. And despite it being just a show, I truly believe it made a difference, it made a change in not only my life but in many many others.

I am going to miss this show and the unbelievable journey it included. Thank you to all the people involved in making this a reality. Thank you to the all voice actors for giving the show and characters life. And thank you Rebecca Sugar. You have made a incredible and beautiful masterpiece that I will never forget. Whatever plans you have in the future, I’m here for it. Thank you for making Steven Universe a reality!
